1. Beautiful 1-bed House, Exmoor Nr Lynton & Lynmouth

Lynton

"We had an amazing overnight stay at the Annex. Nancy, the host, could not have been more welcoming, informative and helpful. The cottage was ideal for our particular needs - a rather last minute booking - and very clean and well equipped throughout. It was beautifully warm, and the property is set deep in a very beautiful part of lovely Exmoor. Would highly recommend this cosy cottage for a couple and reasonably priced as well. "

"This was ideal for me. I loved it here. It was really peaceful. I couldn't hear a thing apart from the birds and the occasional sheep. I stayed for 4 days and I wished it could have been longer. There is no TV in the hut which also suits me to the ground. The wi-fi is excellent so if you do want to watch something on an I pad or tablet you will have no problem with the reception. There was a nice touch with tea making facilities and scones provided for the 4 days that I was there. I cannot...

"The cottage is a bit tired but well equiped, clean and comfortable. The instructions to find the key were terrible! it says get them from a key safe padlocked to the front railings at the front of the house and they were at the back, attached to the house. Google maps cannot find the address so we followed the instructions given. It mentions a car show room that it is not there anymore (a convenient Tesco instead). I called the number given and was asked for a lot of information including my...

Blue Ball Inn

Lynmouth

10/10 Excellent

We really enjoyed our stay. We were walking the SWCP and were glad to stop earlier on this leg. (Just dont take the road to the lighthouse and then climb the scree over the hill: steep and dangerous). The room was excellent. Comfortable. Delicious dinner down stairs, and lucky for us on our night, a live singer providing a musical background atmosphere. She was lovely, and just the thing to elevate the evening to next level.

David

A balcony with outdoor seating overlooking a coastal view.

The North Cliff Hotel

Lynton

10/10 Excellent

The North Cliff Hotel was one of those charming old traditional Hotels, that as a Hotel had been in operation for 100years. The Managers were lovely and helpful. Our room was up 3 floors, but they assisted with bags. Our room was small, but had great views. Great English brekky included, and we did have a simple dinner there the before. Honesty tab for wine, beers, drinks and snacks in the dining room. Check in is not until 3.30pm, and dinner orders must be in by 4pm. The railway to Lynmouth is...

Exmoor White Horse Inn

Minehead

10/10 Excellent

This hotel is located in a small village in some beautiful quiet country. It is an old pub with lots of atmosphere, but the rooms have been updated to accommodate modern bathroom facilities while the bedroom was spacious looking out onto the village common. The dining room was very sophisticated with excellent food, while the pub had a more relaxed feel and simpler menu. The staff were very accommodating and welcoming. We took a number of walks around the area which were delightful.
