Old fashioned room with few amenities.

Deadbolt doesn’t work and the knob with twist lock is loose. Floor vent has no temp control. Manager has to turn on and off. Staff very friendly and room had lots of space.

Affordable and clean!

Very clean and staff is very friendly. A very good affordable option for a night. Though the furniture was outdated and worn the place was very clean and had been well maintained.

The room we had in this gem of a bargain motel was spotless, quiet and comfortable. The wifi was slow and somewhat sketchy, but everything else was fine. We would stay here again.

Very very friendly host, who have been owners for just 3 months. They have big plans. Go for it!! Good rooms, good bath, airco perfect in the heat of 100 fahrenheit those 4 days which we where there.

Better than it looks from the outside

Stayed at the Hotel Grand for the Chadron Marathon put on by Mainly Marathons. Motel is older, and the exterior appearance wasn't encouraging, but the room was clean, comfortable and everything worked.

Nice older motel. I liked it. Clean, quiet, would stay at again. Nothing fancy but covers the basics. Came in after dark and the parking lot, also, was dark. Could use a light or two in the parking lot and replace one or two in the sign.

The room was ok, pretty clean and bed was kinda old. Took a shower in the morning and the towels smell. They need to replace towels and wash cloth. For the price it was ok.

Does not live up to most of its reviews on here!

Preface: I am not a complainer, but I do expect somewhat clean and usable rooms when I travel. Made the trip to Chadron to see my college student, I read reviews about this place saying it looked rough on the outside, but clean, comfortable, no frills rooms, so I gave it a chance on a weekend where my normal hotel was full. The first night, I crawled into bed and the bed sunk in the middle, so bad I could not sleep in it. It was late and the office closes at 11, so I had to suffer through. The smell did not scream CLEAN to me,but I did not see anything visible. I asked for a new room or a refund in the morning, and was offered a different room. Checked it out, beds were at least usable. When we returned that night, the AC had kicked on during the day and it smelled awful. I can't afford to lose/burn $300 for another hotel room, so I got disinfectant spray, opened windows and made it through the night. Left a day early because we couldn't take another day and I couldn't afford the $200 rooms that were available in town without getting a refund on this one. I have no idea how this hotel has even a 5/10 rating. Next time I will spend the extra money, don't stay here.
