Rustic room makes you feel that you are transported back in time into the old town of Cesky Krumlov. Room was cosy and well equipped with basic necessities.

Overall, the room is big enough, there is also bathtub. The floor was abit old and have some sound when you walk around. Something else to take note: hotel has no lift, if the staircase can be make better to prevent guests from slipped, especially if you stay at level 3 and need to move luggage up 2 floor. Corridor is using auto light which could have save electronic, but it make the hotel dark when nobody is walking. One major disadvantage the hotel building and room has no place for you to prepare or take hot water, this is particular bad during winter because every time we need to walk to the reception at Hotel EBERSBACH which is 3 min outside from Hotel Edward Kelly, just to take some hot water.

Dear anonymous guests, thanx for sending us your feedback! Depandance Edward Kelly is a 400 years old building, therefore is impossible to install there elevator. Staircase is original from late 18. century and people from ministery of culture are protecting such precious parts of oldtown houses like is our Edward Kelly. Check-in, Check-ou, breakfasts always happen in Ebersbach hotel, our main property and it is written also on our websites, we also sending to every guest all important information regarding to their stay. Kettle for hot water is provided only on Signature Suites of Ebersbach hotel, they never been a part of equipment in Edward Kelly. Best service ever
Super friendly, staff spoke excellent English. They let me park my motorcycle on their locked patio, which was a huge relief and quite a service for the tight confines of a medieval city. The room was beautiful and comfortable. Can’t recommend highly enough

Old charm!
Loved the room, but there are only stairs, the check in is at a different hotel so better get there before dark! The breakfast was great, but also at a different hotel.

Nice but not 4-star, close to 3
Great location, close to everything. Surprised that reception was not at the hotel but at another hotel, wish I would have known in advance. No fridge in room and no air conditioning. Would not have been disappointed if it was a 3 star but expected more from a 4 star hotel.

Dear guest, Depandnace Edward Kelly never was a 4 star hotel, that is a wrong information, it always was a 3 star hotel which has turned into our depandance, since last August when we opened newly reconstructed main hotel, named Ebersbach, where you´ve been for check-in/out and breakfast during your stay with us. All information has been sent to you immediately, when you made this booking via Expedia. Air conditioning system is not possible to install in such old, historic houses like Edward Kelly or Ebersbach hotels. It´s strictly controlled by local preservationists. good location
room is big and comfortable. check-in is in other location not far, but, we met problem of card-kay not work so have to walk several round from room (at 3rd floor no lift) to the reception. finally with 3 times failure (and walk and wait), hotel called the maintenance and finally change to another room.

Locate in the middle of CK, a bit old but service was friendly and good. Because the age of the building, a lot of noise while walking on the wooden floor.

THIS IS NOT A 4 STAR HOTEL. THIS IS NOT A TRUE HOTEL EITHER. No receptionist at the front desk. After calling phone number several times, waited for 25 min until a girl showed up. She hurriedly gave us room keys, pointed in the direction of breakfast, and LEFT. No further details on anything else (acess to bldg after hours, who to call if need assistance, wifi, room safe instructions, extra towels, room cleaning, etc). False description, there is no fridge in the room. And the bar downstairs is not affiliated with Edward Kelly. Room clean, but old. Saggy beds, torn sofa, nail heads sticking up out of floorboards to jab your foot on, loud bar directly across that will keep you up at night, and the street cleaners will wake you 7am sharp. THIS PENSION IS NOT WORTH THE PRICE. SPEND YOUR MONEY ELSEWHERE.

Dear Angie, thank you for your review. I do apologize for a lady who has worked there. The property EKelly is a Depandance of new opened hotel Ebersbach now. This mentioned lady is already finished the working contract after many complaints of the guests. I do hope the interriors of EKelly will be be renovated during low season period.

Great location but......
Breakfast was two blocks away in a restaurant which did not open early but did have good coffee and great omelette. Hotel was rustic with uneven pine plank floors and uneven sense of decor.

Can't reach the staff for check in althought I had email my arrival time(11:00) to store my luggage and get promise. Finally with the help of the Info center the staff appear at about 15:30. Room is clean and comfort but is noisy untill midnight because a bar is just opposite to the hotel. The included breakfast is excellent at a restaurant served by a beautiful lady.

Check-in time was 14:00 to 17:00, but no one was there. Ok that room floor was old, but not ok that it had splinters. Owner required cash payment. Great location, but I would not stay here again.

Overall a bad experience
Waited 39 minuets for the only employee to check us in. We were told to get cash as credit card machine was not working. Only staff member left to go home at 4:30 and hotel stood open all night with no staff. No service, no staff, no security. Room old but marginally ok. Never book this hotel.

Tricky hotel
This hotel tried to trick me and also Expedia by requesting me to pay in cash the amount and after reconciled the booking as they never received any amount from me . I asked them several times to send me a receipt of my payment and i clearly ignored. Finally i found near Expedia that they reported the booking to them as if no one paid them! At this moment they apoligizing me saying that they made a mistake at the moment that i asked for a booking modification. Clearly a lie, i never asked for any modification. I arrived during the check in hours and no one was there to welcome me, just a paper with a map, the room key and may name written. During the checkout i had to make them a call so that someone will come to make the normal checkout routine. For all this i asked a full refund, that they never answered me about it!

convenient in location
check out time is restricted to 8-10am and there is noone taking care on anything from 5pm onwards. thats meant it is really a sleeping place. also there is no quilt as i guess due to very limited manpower. by the way the room is spacious and toilet is tidy and clean

My room is opposite to the bar with the fresh music which I enjoy very much. The room is big and good decoration. Bathroom and toilet are separate rooms. There is a double bed with a sofa big enough for a hangover friend ;) Breakfast will be served at the back side of the hotel which you can enjoy with the castle view and river. Location of hotel is close to the square and many restaurants around. This is one of the great hotel in Krumlov. :)

Fine town, but you might try another hotel
The hotel is in a fine location in Cesky Krumlov, and they serve a good breakfast on a patio overlooking the river. The negatives: Our room faced the narrow street and a rather loud Slavic bar with live oompah music. With no air conditioning in the room, we had to open our windows, but that let in noise to the wee hours and lots of smoke from the folks drinking at the picnic table outside the bar. The patrons waved at me when I finally closed the windows at 1am. Also, if you don't arrive by 5pm, you're out of luck with check in; Lord help you if your bus is late.

Our room was a decent size and there are 3 free beers and 2 diet cokes for. Decent size tv and renovated bathroom (bath plug not working so couldn't use the bath). Midget placed shower head so not practical. Bed not practical as it is two thin mattress/singles pushed together and pillows are rather poor. Towels monogrammed which is nice. A bit dusty in the room. Acceptable room overall. Now no reception staff seen the two days we were here. Not once. Front door was open always so not sure what they do for security. Breakfast was rather funny as there was very little there. Even youth hostels would put them to shame. Advertised on hotels.com hot and cold buffet. The only thing hot was the coffee. Very little offered. Very good location. Close to everything in the centre. Could not ask for a better.

Hotel Edward Kelly Won't Disappoint
Pleasantly surprised to find this quaint little hotel right in the midst off all the major attractions. Our room faced the main castle and river...absolutely gorgeous. Easy walking distance to the castle, eateries along the river, and many shops - everything right outside your door.

Our stay at the charming Edward Kelly Hotel
The Edward Kelly Hotel was quite charming and beautiful. Found hauling 3 suitcases up two flights of stairs a little daunting, but once in our room, was delighted. The bed was firm and comfortable, the two half bathrooms interesting, only one, with the tub, had hot water. Wished I had time to take a bath, as the tub was unusually deep and comfortable looking! The breakfast was lovely, with outdoor tables which the mild weather allowed us to thoroughly enjoy. The young woman serving us was a pleasure to meet. All in all, I would definitely, and will, recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a good place to stay. The shuttle service located right next door, was an appreciated bonus as well!

Das Frühstück war gut, aber nur eine kaffeemasxhine für so viele Gäste war zu wenig. Auch gingen die Teller aus, nachgefüllt wurde nur selten.
