"Our stay at covelo was exceptional, the room was clean and very comfortable. Our top floor room had a view of the city and the river! Our host Beatrix gave us many suggestions to take advantage of the surrounding hiking trails as well as the many restaurants. Breakfast was supplied by the café across from our and will give you a great start to your day 😀 we would definitely stay there again! Thank you very much 😊"

"If you come to visit the Douro because of the Port wine culture, then this property won't disappoint you. Five generations of viticulturalists have lovingly developed this beautiful Pousada over the centuries and as you go through the property, it oozes charm. We loved our spacious and beautifully appointed room, including generous breakfast. The in-house Port wine tasting included vintage, 40- and 60 year old ports and was truly insightful. Add a dinner with authentic dishes and a few walks through the vineyards, from where you can enjoy expansive views over the Douro valley and you have absolutely experienced the Douro area. I hope to be back here one day can wholeheartedly recommend this Pousada to you!"
