A delightful trullo with pool in a secluded location in the heart of Puglia.
Completely restored in 2017 and tastefully decorated, Trullo La Gioia is a stunning five-cone trullo which sleeps 6 (2 doubles + 1 double/twin, all with en-suite shower rooms).
Trullo La Gioia is located 8 km from the atmospheric town of Ceglie Messapica and 10 km from the beautiful town of Ostuni (known as "la città bianca"). Both of these towns are well served by excellent restaurants, cafes, supermarkets, weekly outdoor markets, etc. The nearest beaches are 15 km / 30 minutes away and there are a number of charming historic towns within easy reach: Martina Franca, Cisternino, Locorotondo, and Alberobello.
In a completely rural setting, surrounded by 5 acres of olive groves and fruit trees, the trullo is the perfect place to get away from it all.
Overlooking the trullo there is an idyllic private pool with sunloungers and deckchairs with views of the surrounding countryside.
There is a spacious shaded veranda to the side of the trullo with a large dining table and a comfortable seating area with sofas and cushions. Here you can enjoy eating alfresco and relaxing with a coffee or an aperitif.
Inside there is a spacious kitchen/diner, a utility room, and a delightful living room with an open fireplace.

Wonderful trullo
A remarkable trullo set in beautiful and tranquil countryside. Fantastic pool and outdoor dining area, with the spacious and clean villa providing an ideal base to relax or act as a base for exploring the wider Puglia.

Puglia at its best!
We were a group of 6 people (3 couples) and really enjoyed our stay in the Trullo a lot. The house was even more beautiful than on the pictures. The rooms were great, even though it got a little warm during the night (but it was an exceptional hot week, so I'm sure most of the time this isn't a problem). Other than that, everything was perfect. We especially loved the outdoor areas (the pool, dining area and grill, and lounge area) and the super well equipped kitchen. We immediately felt at home in the Trulli and were super sad to leave after the week! Hope to return one day!

So wonderful it should be a secret!
Absolutely amazing trulli villa: superbly positioned, not overlooked at all, glorious grounds, fabulous accommodation and just so smart. So much space and great pool. Wonderful. Very responsive owners and local support. A super region to explore: so much to see. We will return!

wonderful rural retreat
A stunning trullo property in the heart of Puglia. The property has been refurbished beautifully without losing the authentic Italian style.. The main house has two lovely bedrooms with en-suite and a generous sized lounge area and kitchen/diner. The third bedroom is attached with its own entrance and has a large double bed and en-suite. There is not a lot of storage space for clothes and is overall a little small.
Outside there is a lovely shaded patio and eating area with BBQ and then there is the magnificent pool area which is set higher up in the very extensive grounds. We spent a lot of time at the pool and out two youngish grandchildren (7 & 4) had a whale of a time jumping splashing and just messing about. The also enjoyed Lizard spotting and playing hide and seek in the grounds.
The fact that the property is very rural is its only downside as the nearest town for shopping is Ceglie Messapica which is about 8km away but that is a small price to pay for the chance to enjoy such a fantastic holiday is such a beautiful setting.

A wonderful Italian rural retreat.
A wonderful, peaceful, rural Italian retreat.
The property is off the beaten track yet in an accessible location for many of the lovely sites that Puglia has to offer.
We enjoyed picking the figs and almonds in the garden which went very well with the generous welcome pack provided.
The photos do not do the property justice, particularly the kitchen which is actually more spacious than the website suggests.
We hope to return one day.

Authentischer Trulli in wunderschöner Lage
Sehr gut ausgestattete Unterkunft, sehr sauber. Gemütliche Zimmer mit ausreichend Platz. Tolle Außenanlage mit vielen unterschiedlichen Sitzplätzen. Wunderschöner Pool. Absolute Ruhe. Dennoch nur ein paar Fahrminuten zu den umliegenden Dörfern. Sehr gute Auswahl an Restaurants. Naturstrand in 30 min Entfernung. Sehr netter Kontakt zum Vermieter.

Propriété de rêve dans un océan d’oliviers
En première impression, celle d’un ensemble de trulli parmi les plus beaux de la région. La décoration intérieure est de très bon goût. La maison est très bien équipée et les aménagements extérieurs (détente et lieux de repas) sont fort plaisants. Une mention particulière pour la piscine qui est grande et bien entretenue.
Enfin un grand merci pour Peter et Marina, ainsi qu’Adriano, leur gérant sur place, pour leurs conseils et réponses à nos questions.
En résumé: une location qui nous a enchantés et recommandons vivement.

if you want to really experience the Puglia way of life
A trullo totally updated . great land around. amazing view on valley of olive trees. the external bbq dining area and the surronding around the swimming pool are just perfect. locations is great to visit around. perfect for 4 adults and 2 kids or young adults. as each room get his own bathroom . 1 master bedroom with a small lobby area or working place and his bathroom
1 bedroom with a 2 persons bed and a nice bathroom with an external entry
perfect for late clubber 😀 1 bedroombwith 2 twin beds . large kitchen . all the rooms are perfectly decorated

Ein wunderbarer Ort
Wir haben 2 entspannte Wochen an diesem traumhaft schönen Ort verbracht! Der Trullo ist sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtet und bietet mit dem wunderbaren Pool eine gute Abkühlung an heißen Tagen. In der Umgebung gibt es viele schöne Städte zu besichtigen, die sich sehr für einen abendlichen Stadtbummel eignen.
