Blue Heron Nest is a 2-bedroom remodeled and beautiful apartment with water views in downtown Cedar Key, less than a 10-minute walk to Dock Street!

This 2nd floor unit offers two bedrooms with queen beds, Wifi, smart TVs in both living room and master bedroom, kitchen w/ full stove, fridge, and microwave, coffee maker, toaster, pots/pans, dining table, and washer/dryer. There's also a sizable dining table with plenty of space for 4. Perhaps the most sought-after amenity is the parking, which is right out front with a private overflow lot located a very short walk from the building. Just ask about boat trailer parking!

**For larger groups (up to 8), book along with Blue Heron, which is a mirror of this one and located right next door!**

Comfortable space with Convenient location and parking

Well maintained, affordable and comfortable with designated parking, conveniently located in sight of Annie’s, a beloved spot frequented by locals for breakfast and lunch that additionally boasts a full bar. Well worth the 23 steps to get upstairs and enjoy the porch swing and the laid back vibe of Cedar Key.

Great stay in great location

House had everything we needed for our trip! Cooked breakfast and lunch each day. Loved this affordable house to stay while visiting for the week. Safe area. Locals so friendly! Walked the short distance downtown for dinner each night (or across the street for a drink and/ or breakfast/lunch). Many restaurants were closed because of storm last fall, but hoping they rebuild soon. Love this sweet town!!

Perfect spot to get away

very nice place for a 4 day stay. Just make sure to follow parking procedures or you will get a ticket if you park anywhere else. The house was perfect size for our family. We always enjoy coming to cedar key.

We were only able to get away for one night but really enjoyed the comfortable accommodations at Blue Heron. The location was nice, fairly quiet and we felt completely safe. Had we been staying longer we would have found everything we needed in the kitchen to cook a full meal. We hope to be returning for a longer stay soon.

Wonderful stay

This place had more than we needed Washer and dryer Full kitchen Good walking location There was no one next to us so we had the whole balcony for ourselves. Even though we only booked for one night it is perfect for longer stays. It was safe and comfortable.

Home was as presented and described. Communication and process for the stay arrangements, arrival information and departure information was excellent. Was nice an comfortable. Enjoyed the porch swing on a nice evenig.

Wonderful weekend

The location was very convenient to downtown. The unit was clean and the view from the balcony was nice. The only thing next time I know to reserve a unit on the bottom floor.

From the balcony we could see the spoonbills in the waterway across the street. Thought they were flamingos but were corrected by the locals. Quiet area, easy to find and close to downtown. Very enjoyable.

Nature Coast it is.

Positives; great location, quite, Negative backed up tub, was musty smelling could use an air freshener. Two screens up front were torn couldn’t open them, the coffee table needs to be repainted with a high gloss so it can be wiped down properly. All in all was a fun spot for quiet nature. The hosts were very prompt in responding to our concerns, thanks.

Close to perfect

The unit itself was perfect. It was immaculately clean,nicely decorated and had everything needed for a long or short stay. It was also conveniently located near a market, bait store, and restaurants. The listing does not mention that the unit is 23 stairs above the street. The signs on the front of the building announcing the presence of security cameras give the impression that the property is in a crime area. The check - in instruction requesting that renters not ask directions of retirees living on the property seemed odd

The Blue Heron was just as the listing described, it was cozy, very clean and near the downtown area. The abundance of cameras on the property was interesting and somewhat understandable for this industry but the "active" camera directly above the sitting area on the front porch made us a bit "big brother is watching" uncomfortable.

Perfect, cozy, little getaway spot!

Property was as described and we were pleasantly surprised by how well maintained and clean it was. Great value for the price. Wonderful location- super close to downtown, golf cart accessible, across from a fantastic breakfast restaurant. Ample parking. Our unit shared a balcony with our neighbors but they were a great group of people. We really enjoyed our stay.
