This 1867 restored church, Himmel Haus, features 3-bedrooms / 3 bathrooms and is perfect for your escape to the Cedar Falls, Waterloo, Waverly or Denver area. Himmel Haus is German for Heaven/Sky House. We have created this space to be a Heavenly Retreat in the beautiful Iowa countryside.
Restored to preserve some of the original architecture like hand hewn beams, original windows and bead board along with artifacts from the church. Restoration includes modern day amenities like updated plumbing, beautiful kitchen, gas fireplace, Wi-Fi, and hot tub.
Guests will find a fabulous mix of sleeping options, including a king bed suite, a queen bedroom, a bunk room which includes a queen bed with full bed on top, a twin bunk bed with a twin trundle making it easy to accommodate families or groups.
There are three bathrooms featuring tub/showers, shampoo, conditioner, body wash and hair dryers. Products were chosen carefully to be as natural as possible. Everyone can enjoy comfort and convenience.
Whether you’re relaxing after a day of adventure or gathering with family and friends, this awesome home offers a welcoming vibe. Our place is equipped for both long or short stays to make your stay one to remember. The property features 3 televisions, many games, children's toys and books, highchair upon request, portable crib upon request, children's dinnerware, cups and utensils and outdoor games.
The property is a short distance from Waverly, Waterloo and Cedar Falls and close to Denver with conveniences such as a coffee shop, a library, boutique, 2 gas stations, a Fareway grocery store, an ice cream shop, bars, and 2 restaurants.
The property also includes a 50 Amp RV hook up for larger groups and a back patio hot tub and fire pit. The grounds include beautiful wildflowers for picking.
