"We stayed in the Trucountry Suite. The bedroom was roomy with a king-sized bed, very comfortable! AC and a nice hot shower at the end of the day. Enjoyed a beer while watching a very competitive cornhole competition in the ballroom."

"Russel was very helpful and everything was as advertised. It was centrally located to where we were dove hunting. We’re only 25 to 30 minutes away from Brownwood where we could go grab some food. One of the guys with us was amazed with how clear the sky was, he lives in DFW area and never sees the stars like that."

"We stayed here for a family wedding near by. I had no idea it was on a farm! It ended up being a nice surprise for the kids to see the cows, dogs, chickens, goats, turkey, guineas, and more. It was a great space for a family stay. I just wish it had more than 1 bathroom. I also didn’t realize it had steps inside - 2 steps down in the kitchen and have to go up 2 stairs to the bathroom. We had some elderly with us and was semi difficult for them so just beware. There also could be better instructions at check in. We got our instructions by text at about 5pm and check in was at 3. I also had to ask how to get in the house and where it was. I had to ask for WiFi code. Owners were very prompt at texting/calling back. Dogs on property - would be nice to know they are friendly. It is down rough dirt roads and need to be able to open a large property gate to come in. Lots of cows and animals come up close. I would say it seems like they have had dogs inside and has some dog smells. It is on a farm so I realize it’s hard to keep pristine. Overall a good stay, clearer communication would be a plus."

"The Gates house is a very nice place to stay in Brady, Texas. The house was clean, has a lot of comforts and nice space for a family to relax after a busy day. Both restrooms are large so there was no fighting over who was going to use which bathroom( my girls were with me)! Joni sent me the information for check-in at least a week in advance, which was nice. We arrived late in the evening and it was very smooth getting into the house and getting settled in. I will definitely book again when traveling to Brady!"
