Located at 9,600 feet in the heart of Brian Head, Lazy Bear Cottage is in a perfect location spring, summer, fall or winter! Why rent a condo with potentially noisy neighbors when you can have a cottage to yourself!
It is located between the two main lift areas (a half mile from both lifts) and on the ski shuttle route. It is a quick 10 minute walk to the ski lifts, restaurants and the General Store. During the winter, there are miles of cross-country and snowmobile trails throughout the area. There are also snow tubing and sledding hills for kids of all ages!
When the snow has melted, the Brian Head area offers some of the best hiking, mountain biking and trails in Utah. With nearby lakes, bring your rod and reel to enjoy a day of fishing or to dip your toes! There are also many ATV trails throughout the area that connect to different towns, including Duck Creek.
Decorated in rustic antiques, this cozy two story 800 sq foot cottage is a perfect place to "snuggle" and create memories! It has two bedrooms and one bath with a shower, kitchen with a new refrigerator, new electric start gas range with oven, 4K Roku TV to stream your favorite shows, Blu-ray DVD player and a gas furnace rated fireplace. It has a large front porch and a large rear deck with a new gas BBQ grill and gas fire pit. The cottage is convenient to all Brian Head has to offer, yet is backed up to forest land with a view of meadows and mountains. All cooking utensils are provided as well as paper goods, soaps and linens.
The main bedroom has a queen size bed and the upstairs second bedroom has two twin size beds. There is a twin sized couch in the upstairs TV room/loft.
Located on 1/4 of an acre, you have enough room to spread out and have some privacy! It has woods in the back for you to explore and freshly paved parking on the side of the cottage for your boat/ATV/Razor trailer. For your safety and the safety of your property, security cameras are located on the exterior of the cottage.
This is a non-smoking cottage. You may smoke on the front or back porch. Please properly dispose of cigarette butts. No illegal drugs (including marijuana) are allowed. Deposit will be kept if violated.

An additional dog and/or dogs over 40 pounds may be allowed with the owners permission and additional $30/night fee. TWO DOG MAX. Failure to disclose pet(s) or size will result in forfeiture of your security deposit. PLEASE disclose all pets!!! Please pick up pet waste and do not allow them to pee/poop on the front or back porch! Please be confident your pet will not have an "accident" on the carpet due to it being in an unfamiliar place. During the winter months, the main road and the cottage parking area right off the main road is plowed, but due to plows only being able to work during daylight hours, please use caution if you are checking in after sunset. In the event your trip is during or after a snow storm, please be aware you may have to walk in the snow. The parking area is plowed upon 6 inches of snow, so you may need/want to do some light shoveling of the parking area and/or porch. Chains or snow tires may be required. The cabin was just right for our quick, simple, fall getaway. Some of our plans didn't work out due to weather, but we liked the comfort and hominess of the cabin so well, we still had a great trip. A very convenient location and a beautiful area.

Wonderful little cabin that felt like you were stepping back in time. Full of antiques. Peaceful and quiet with wonderful views.
Great property with great location! Only complaint was construction on road from 5am to 11pm, but otherwise awesome spot! Loved every bit of it!!! Has everything you could need. Super cute!
Very good communication and amenities as always. Everything about the property was perfect. The owner Kimberly immediately sent over some paper products we needed.Only downside was the way the hot weather affected the snowmobile trail through town which was rocky at some points. Once you got past the ski resorts the snow was great for snowmobiling. Of course, a few years ago, there was a crazy amount of snowfall which comolicated arrival and departure from the mountain. For a normal person, the conditions for a skiing week would be perfect because the roads were as clear as you could ever get since it has been getting up into the mid-40's.Back to the cabin, my wife says they painted since last year and Kimberly obviously got a new loveseat downstairs. The new daybed on the 2nd floor was a huge upgrade making this a legit stay for 5 full sized people.5 stars for the cozy cottage5 stars for the driving conditions4 stars for snowmobiling past the resorts into the Cedar Breaks Nat'l Monument area1 star to whatever town leader decided that the OHV trail in front of Paisano's Pizza could be left with an impassable rock drop off. The town could've at least pushed dirt over so there was a dirt ramp to go over the road driving into Paisano's and the ski resort.Kimberly, however was perfect.
Took a week long trip with my husband, our son and his girlfriend. The cabin was perfect. Gave all of us our own space, but allowed for family time too. Perfect little cabin.
We had the BEST time staying in this little piece of heaven. It was close to everything so we could travel to see things during the day and come home to cook dinner in the evening. My little 5 year old loves it so much he cries when it was time to leave “but I like it so much here”We will be coming back again.
Good location. Property was as advertised, but furniture was uncomfortable and stairway upper landing was potentially dangerous. We enjoyed the back deck and both the indoor and outdoor fireplaces.
Property was exactly as described and everything works. Check-in and check-out couldn't have been easier. The cabin was clean, comfortable, and easy to use. The location is excellent - close to everything, but still very quiet. My son and I really enjoyed our weekend at the cabin!
We keep coming back. The owner does a great job of making sure you have everything you need. This cabin is located close to the town and the lifts. Cozy fireplace and perfect get away for a couple. Thanks again Kimberly!
We celebrated Christmas early at the Lazy Bear Cottage and it could not have been more perfect. It's a great place to sit around the fireplace, sip hot cocoa, and open family gifts without the stress and rush of the holidays. We also had perfect weather for some early season skiing too.
We loved the location and ability catch shuttle across the road. Not having to lug our belongings up flights of stairs to access a condo was a huge plus for us. We did miss the hot tub/pool some of the other places offer but really enjoyed being able to watch kids play in snow from our kitchen window.
Stayed at this property many times. Always a great place to stay. Close to both sides on Brian Head ski resort. The house is the perfect place for my wife and I. Highly recommend a stay.
The cabin is adorable and very comfy. The views are spectacular. Very close to all the lifts and a really good pizza place. Was able to watch it snow while staying warm inside. Excellent fireplace that kept us nice and warm. Such a great experience. Thanks.
Private free-standing cottage close to both ski fields. Cottage is small but has lots of character and is fun to stay in. There are two lounge areas which is good if you have older kids or teens. Kitchen is small so takes a little bit of organising when cooking meals.
We had a great stay at this property - minutes away from the ski resort and the check in process was seamless. Heater and fireplace worked really well. Smart TVs were a huge hit for our kid when it was time to unwind. Beds were a bit old and could be more comfortable but we were just there for a few nights so it wasn’t a huge issue. Overall loved the cozy ambiance and would stay here again.
