Velento Rentals Management Presents

This single family beach cottage sleeps 5 and has modern island finishes, hardwood floors, hardwood vaulted ceilings, a fully equipped kitchen, linens, washer, TV, internet service, air conditioning, and a large shared swimming pool with loungers. You will have access to our private dock and beach area with chaise loungers and a large palapa, sea access for swimming, just a 2 minute walk to the ocean down a short sandy path. The first bedroom has a queen bed, the second bedroom is a loft with 2 twin beds. The living room has a comfy queen futon. Air Conditioning and washing machine.
This property has 2 other small cottages within a gated property.

Welcome to the quaint tropical island of Caye Caulker where summer never island is 3 blocks wide and 2 miles long, never far from the ocean. Location: The Belize Barrier Reef: It is the longest barrier reef in the Western Hemisphere and the second largest in the world.
There are no cars on this small paradise island, bicycles are the preferred method of travel, otherwise golf cart taxis are readily available. We rent bicycles, we have children's bikes, & child carriers, cribs, and highchairs too. We rent golf carts based on availability (suggest reserving in advance) We have sea kayaks, and canoes are free for your use as well. Be adventurous and explore!
Kick back and enjoy your stay at this beautiful new home located on a quiet street, just a quick bike ride into town. Take a plunge in the pool or stroll down to the ocean under the palm trees. Make sure to bring or rent snorkeling gear, an experience of a life time. World class fishing, diving and snorkeling are available through the many guides on the island.
There are local grocery stores on the island as well as incredible Caribbean Restaurants.
The area is surrounded by lush palms and abundant tropical foliage.
Visit the popular 'Split' for a refreshing beverage and a swim in the sandy bay, listen to local music, take a boat ride, or just lie in the sun on a dozy afternoon.

Wonderful family stay

We loved our stay at the hidden gem! It was a perfect location- easy for us to walk to town or to the water. The pool was shady which was a great break for the day too. We would definitely stay again !

Comfortable and calming!

The property was lovely! All the comforts in a great location…felt safe and clean and quiet! A beautiful pool and deck, a short walk to anything you’d need, a lovely dock for resting by the ocean and helpful friendly staff!

The most magical spot!

We were so sad to leave the Hidden Gem after our two night stay. We have three kids: 9, 7 and 5 and this was such a great spot! We enjoyed breakfast on the beautiful front porch and they loved swimming in the pool. The place and grounds were spotless. Everyone who we encountered at the company was so helpful! This was pie tier time visiting Caye Caulker and we all agreed we will be back, specifically, to stay at our “hidden gem”.

Perfect for relaxing

Exactly as described. Enjoyed the quietness of the pool and the pier. Staff was always near and very helpful. Great value. Enjoyed being on the quiet end of the island.

This property was the most well equipped VRBO we have ever stayed in. Details were exactly as stated and property condition was fantastic. Velento Rentals were very communicative and offered support to setup transport to/from water taxi and had recommendations re:local tour operators. They even did a complimentary housekeeping part way through our stay. Recommend this property to everyone! Loved the laid back atmosphere of Caye Caulker and riding bikes around the island!

Great Spot for Couple and 2 Teenagers

This is our second time in Caye Caulker and we love biking all over the island and this was the perfect spot to give us some privacy, great pool, and wonderful setup for a family of 4. The twin bed loft was great for the two teenage boys and kitchen had everything we needed (but we ate out every meal as the restaurants on island are the best). We would definitely stay here again - the price, location, accommodations were exactly what we needed and great price!

Great vacation!

We had a great time here! Everything was as advertised. We arranged with the rental company to get picked up at the ferry terminal with our luggage. The private dock was great, we loved the paddle boards and saw some rays and even a dolphin from the boards right off the dock. We rented bikes from the rental company for the week and that was very handy, we biked all over the island, spent some time at the Split, went in a snorkel tour, fed the tarpons and rays, and just had an amazing time!

Wonderful Island Home Base

The house was nice. Had all the amenities. Staff was helpful and friendly. Quiet neighborhood. Caye Caulker was full of friendly, helpful people and amazing things to experience. 5 nights flew by.

Ten days in May

The property was very nice, clean and well equipped. Velento staff were very helpful, drinking water was quickly replenished and towels swapped out when.The pool was clean and tidy and was checked and maintained daily.Our only complaint, which has nothing to do with the property, was that there was extremely loud music every night, going into the early hours. I am assuming it is a bar if some description nearby. The earliest the music stopped, was midnight on a Sunday. Unfortunately, this would prevent us from staying at this property in the future.

quiet neighborhood

This house was great! Myself and husband and 2 grown boys (21 and 25). The boys had the loft and it worked out fine. Only 1 issue which was the water pump kept going off the first night and it was pretty loud. The "fixers" came within 15 minutes the next morning after I reported it and fixed it. We really appreciated the drinking water provided in the house and the bikes were absolutely needed - you are too far away from town to walk comfortably for most. The shared space with Weezies dock was quite nice. I'd stay here again for sure.

Perfect place

The Hidden Gem was perfect for our party of 4. Had all the necessities for us to be able to fix breakfast and cook a few dinners of the fish we caught. If you fly in, very convienent for airport. The services were prompt, never had to request water, if we put out empty container, it was immediately replaced. The office help was great in getting me a golf cart. We had a few glitches with a/c unit and hot water heater, but as soon as it was mentioned, the issues were taken care of immediately. Will definitely stay again and we would highly recommend

Great place to stay in Caye Caulker

This is a no frills place, but it worked just fine for our needs. The ladder up to the loft with the 2 twin beds is steep! Just a heads up for those who might have issues with heights or climbing down in the middle of the night to use the bathroom. We would have liked another soft chair or small couch to relax on in the main living room in the evenings as the futon really only comfortably seats 2. We rented bikes (highly recommend) as this place is a little bit of a ways from downtown to walk on a hot day. The staff was wonderful and very helpful. The island is wonderful. Definitely would recommend a vacation here!

Perfect island stay

Me and three teenagers stayed here for 5 days. It was perfect! The air conditioner worked well, location was great and Veronica and Beyoncé at the front desk were awesome! Everyone on staff was super nice and accommodating. The property itself was well stocked. The only thing missing was another mirror. But other than that, everything was great. We rented a golf cart so driving to restaurants and shops was easy. Veronica took care of cart rental, fishing/snorkeling tour and sunset tour. Beyoncé made sure we were all good to go for departure. I would definitely recommend these properties and will return! Thank you! Go slow! Xoxoxo

Relaxation Station

We had a great time at the Hidden Gem. Not having been to Belize in the past, safety and standards were a concern. All that went out the window when we landed in CC. A Velento staff member met us at the airport to show us to our rental. The rental was very homey and impeccably clean. It had all the essentials. We truly enjoyed our stay here. The pool was very refreshing. We dearly loved our time at the Hidden Gem. The staff at Velento Rentals were over the top amazing, always ready to help in anyway they could. Book the Hidden Gem, you won't be sorry. Oh! Rent the bikes too. They made our trip much more enjoyable.

A wonderful time on Caye Caulker

We would highly recommend staying at this property and any of the Valento Rental properties. We were upgraded to a different house on the property due to a hot water tank issue so we can not speak directly about the Hidden Gem house but can say that the management group and staff who work on the property are absolutely amazing! From coordinating golf cart taxi's to the property (which is highly recommended on first day when arriving with luggage), to the easy rental of bicycles and free use of paddle boards and kayaks. The property and pool areas are extremely clean and the dock out to the water is lovely. We recommend renting bikes for at least a day as it makes it very quick and easy to get around the whole island and explore. It is about a 20 minute walk to the split but there are grocery stores and restaurants closer to the house. We highly recommend Elba's little kitchen a few blocks from the house, Reina's and eating fry jacks at Errolyn's.

Five Star luxury

The Hidden Gem was absolutely perfect for our family of four. The clean well equipped house was everything we needed. It had all the amenities like quality sheets and beds, stocked kitchen, clean and expensive cabinets. Teak floors and perfect pool to cool off in. We absolutely will be staying with this company again. The front desk staff were so sweet and helpful always.

Its a nice place to stay and comes with everything you need for a comfortable stay. Its near the airport and far from the restaurants, shops and good beaches. Definitely recommend getting a golf cart, borrowing a bike or taking taxis. The second "bedroom" is actually a loft with a steep ladder and very small beds most suitable to children.
