You'll have the entire home to yourself and will only share it with other guests in your party.

Cottage, Axe Throwing, Fire Pit, Creek, Close to AT and TC, close to VT.

Beautifully renovated small cottage. Close to hiking on the Appalachian Trail, mountain biking trails and hunting. 30 minutes to Roanoke and Virginia Tech, 20 minutes to Salem. Triple Crown within a few miles.

2 bedrooms- 1 queen, and 2 twin XL. One Bath. Washer and Dryer

Relax and unwind and bring your dogs. (Dog fee applies). Fenced in yard, dog bed and water bowl.

Barn in yard has loft area w/ 2 hammock seat swings and hanging lights.

Axe Throwing target with signed waiver. Please email 4rosesincorp@gmail.com to have waiver sent to you. Axes will be left in the kitchen before checking in, if signed wavier has been returned. Relax by the creek sitting in Adirondack chairs by the fire pit.

Great location very close proximity to the Triple Crown hikes. Loved the fire pit and the axe throwing was a cool unique addition. Kitchen was well equipped and the beds were pretty comfortable. Was a nice home away from home.

Great location close to trails and town

It was a great base camp for some mountain biking and hiking in the area. Loved the coffee bar.

A wonderful stay in a very beautiful cottage!

Host went out of their way to make our stay over Christmas as special as possible even going so far is to putting in a decorated Christmas tree:-) the beds were comfortable and all of the amenities were new and functioned perfectly. We had an absolutely wonderful stay!

We had a wonderful overnight stay at the cottage. The host went above and beyond to make it very enjoyable. Beautiful house, fun yard for the kids and fantastic overall stay. Highly recommended!!

Great place to stay

Beautiful grounds, convenient to hiking, trails and the Catawba Sustainability Center. Quick, clear and kind communication with the owner. Will start again and highly recommend!

Well appointed beautiful respite

We enjoyed our stay in this wonderful little cottage. Even though we were only traveling with adults we loved the features for children and dogs. It is a beautiful property with gorgeous views from the back deck especially with morning coffee from the stocked coffee bar.

Thoughtful

We chose this rental because we could bring our dogs but we will be back because the place was terrific! The owners thought of everything, leaving us local coffee beans, dog treats, and ear plugs! The house is on a busy road but the back yard is fenced in and was perfect for our two fur babies. Cozy house that is close to great hiking trails.

Restful sleep

Host thought of everything needed. Home is much more comfortable than any nearby hotel. We could have stayed 15 mins closer to where we were visiting, but this home allows dogs. The fenced yard was safe for our dog and little one. Will stay again every time we visit this area. It was so quiet and peaceful.

Had a small issue with the master bedroom, however the host was quick to offer solutions. Everything else was great…huge yard with dog disposal, inside had pretty much everything you need and other reviewers all commented on it. Super close to the Triple Crown hikes. If I had to nitpick? More blinds or curtains for increased privacy. Otherwise, really great property and host!

Super Cute House close to McAfee Knob

Great thoughtfully appointed little house so close to great hiking! The property is beautiful and we enjoyed grilling out on the deck after a long fabulous hike! Jessie was so easy to work with and she has added great touches throughout the house ( like a towel warmer, great coffee station). The backyard is great and safe if you travel with your dog! Ax throwing was fun too! We will definitely return!

Great cabin very close to hiking and nature

We picked this cabin bc of its proximity to the Dragon’s Tooth trailhead (it’s a 3 minute drive) and it didn’t disappoint. They put a lot of care into what they have chosen in the property. The kitchen and bathrooms had everything you could want. The deck and the property out the back with a fire pit bordered by a creek were great. Only downside is it’s right on the main road the runs further west towards New Castle but we just stayed out back and it didn’t really bother us at all. In the back of the property you feel very removed from everything. It’s a great little spot especially if you want to be close to the great hiking Catawba has to offer.

We had a great stay for the weekend. The house was clean and beautifully decorated. We appreciated the little touches and extra amenities like ear plugs by all the beds and the stocked up coffee bar. If we are ever in town for another show in nearby Roanoke again, we would love to return for another stay!

Very clean, comfortable, well stocked home. Wonderful, communicative hosts. Great fenced in yard for the pup. Four stars because of the road noise which made it really tough to get a good night of sleep.

Cozy and beautifully remodelled modern farmhouse with a fully kitted out kitchen, soft bedding, and all kinds of high-end amenities like towel warmers, a fully stocked coffee bar, and phone chargers near each bed. If you have dogs, this is the place. Our dogs loved the fenced in yard and dog bed in the living room. Literally minutes from the AT and the Virginia Triple Crown hikes like Dragon's Tooth and McAfee's Knob. We will be back.

Mountain Hospitality

Rose Cottage was perfect and a delightful place to stay with dogs. The house had everything we needed and was so organized and welcoming that we were quick to feel at home. Jessie was so kind when we met. The fire pit and axe throwing down by the creek was so refreshing and the dogs were wild about running about in the huge fenced in section of the yard. We also enjoyed the deck. We're eager to come back when visiting our family and hometown again soon.

Peaceful retreat

Our main goal was to hike McAfee so it was the perfect location! We also visited Salem, Blacksburg and a few other towns. Absolute perfect location. Loved the swings! And Tiny Flash loved the dog bed you provided as well as underneath the stereo. The house was perfect for my niece and I. Thank you.
