"Great stay and excellent location if you plan to ski, snowmobile, or do any outdoor recreating and has good, quick access to White Sulphur Springs. The cabin was clean and the rooms spacious. The main living/gathering space is a combo kitchen/dining/living room and so take that into account if you have a larger group that all wants to be in the same area for meals, socializing, games, etc. Met the host and Jackie was very welcoming. Would definitely stay again. "

"If you are looking for remote, this might be your spot! We stayed as a family of 13 for 4 days after Christmas 2025. The home is a beautiful custom log home. The best things were the beautiful wood burning fireplace, the big open living area, the outfitted kitchen, the hot tub, and pool table. We had a little snow, but if there had been more, you might need a four wheel drive to get up the mountain road which is 6 miles off a secondary highway. The setting once there is quiet and beautiful, just perfect for family photos. We were a little put off by the late check in time (5:00 pm in December is dark!) and we had some cleanliness issues. However, even though it was a holiday, the local host was responsive. For other recommendations, the outdoor fire table needs better ventilation, and some of the outdoor furniture was broken. The hosts should also consider having a high chair on site for littles. The garbage containers should be larger and possibly one for recycling might be a good idea. Additionally, we found lamps that needed new lightbulbs, and remotes that needed new batteries. Be aware that field mice in remote locations are always an issue, and this was evident. The host provided access to more traps, and there was plenty of sine-age telling guests to not leave doors open. Overall, our stay was pleasant. The house is warm and comfortable. We were disappointed that Christmas decorating was not a part of the stay. "
