"Monica is a warm and friendly hostess. She welcomed us for our winter stay with a fire in the fireplace, candles lit, and some herbal tea on the table. She is an artist and collects art, so she has decorated the house in a rustic but elegant style. House was clean and well equipped. Setting is beautiful in a very rural area on the edge of the park with some huge cork oaks in the yard. It was a great base for a week of hiking in December. Summer would be even nicer to enjoy the pool but be away from the tourists. We were one of the first guests in this new listing. The listing had some errors when we made our reservation, but she told us about them ahead of time. The house is a two bedroom with a king in one BR and a king(from two twins pushed together) in the other. There is no sea view from the house... You are well inland but very private and very little traffic on a dirt road. We saw a washer and dishwasher out on the patio but didn't ask about using either. And definitely take her up on her offer to meet you in the village so you can follow her to the house. In wet weather, your GPS will probably take you to an impassable road, but there's another way in. "

"Incredible hotel. Very fancy, lovely room, great breakfast. The staff were very friendly and helped me with taxis and translation. I ordered room service during my stay, there was a great selection of meals, it arrived quickly and was delicious. I was only here for two nights during the off season for a wedding, so didn’t experience the pool or much of the local area, so I can only review the hotel itself, and I am incredibly happy with my stay here. I would definitely come back again. "

"Casa frangu is a well maintained and beautiful property with comfortable rooms and a private courtyard garden to relax in. The location was perfect for us with very good access to the coast and to Gibraltar. We also found the town of Castellar had a good selection of food shops and places to eat and drink. The hosts were very attentive and gave us good information about our stay. "
