"Our experience at Demeure Flore was exceptional and one of a kind. Fracesco welcomed us warmly and made us the best meal of our trip which we enjoyed in his lovely garden nestled in the French countryside. Our room was spacious and sparkling clean and it was like finding an oasis after a few long days of travel. The only sad thing was we were only able to stay one night. We hope to return some day. "Turned up to hotel at 2.45 door locked with notice stating staff returning at 5pm. Still nobody at 5.15. Other clients arrived stating they had received an email from owner with code entrance and room number. We did not! Tried ringing owner.Taking the initiative we worked out from the register what rooms were taken so we took a key. The hotel is smelly, dark and very unwelcoming. "Fantastic hotel right in the heart of Carcassonne. Family room was fabulous - clean and spacious, with a great view overlooking the street outside. The owners were welcoming and friendly, letting us leave our baggage and offering advice on the local area. Lovely breakfast with a beautiful courtyard outside. Can't recommend this hotel highly enough, thank you for a wonderful stay."
