Hyatt Centric Candolim Goa

"When we first checked in to the hotel (rooms 333 and 334), the rooms were clearly not dusted in a while (could see visible dust on the nightstands, lamps, water bottles, rods in bathroom etc.). The sofa had large spots and were dirty. The WiFi was spotty too (general property had 30+MBps while the room had a weak ~1MBps had frequent connection drops). We immediately called the reception and let them know about the issue. We felt we booked the wrong place for our stay. The staff's reaction turned the experience for us. They listened, they remembered and helped us move to a room that was according to our expectations. There was no follow up required, everything was seamless. They showed us the cleaned room before having us move. On the next day, they followed up by asking if we had a comfortable stay and according to our liking! The hotel has otherwise clean amenities. Our kids loved the swimming pool that had multiple depths catering to all ages. The kids had a good time at the activity center as well. The breakfast (and dinner) spread was amazing! The staff, especially Rocky, was super friendly. The chef paid extra attention to my father-in-law who had special food needs and customized the menu for him. All in all a highly recommended place. I will come back."

"A hidden gem! This place is a beautiful oasis by the beach. We stayed in one of the cottages, raised in the middle of the pristine gardens. Loved the traditional design of the wooden cottages, the lush, gardens, waking up to the sounds of birds in the morning, the swimming pool is lovely especially in the evening when it’s not too hot. Special kudos to the Bongo beach shack, that marks the approach of the Little India to the beach. Here the staff really makes you feel home and well looked after! The food and drinks on offer are very delicious: we tried anything from breakfast omelettes, Indian breakfast, Indian food (highly recommend butter chicken and Korma). Also had grilled bomfret (butter and garlic) and it was epic. They have plenty of Indian and international food options, way beyond what you’d expect from a beach shack. In fact, having tried some of the nice high street restaurants, the Bongo’s quality was up there and beyond. The beach has clean white sand, and is far enough from the chaos of Tito’s lane so it’s nice and relaxing. Don’t get fooled by the appearance of the street leading to the hotel. You step from the chaos of the high street and through some run down buildings , but a slice of paradise is waiting for you at the end. I’d definitely come back again!"

"Wandering in Goa for 3 weeks ( more to come) and this is the best hotel so far. Situation on the beach is great,although none of the rooms have a great sea view. The rooms are beautiful and perfectly clean. All the staff are extremely helpful and the restaurant food is good.Definitely would recommend and probably will return for the last few days before going home. "

"The hotel is in the midst of a renovation of sorts. We were a large party and took three rooms and each room had different elements (some bathrooms better than others). While some parts of the rooms were old and run down, the staff was outstanding in doing what they could to make our stay good. They were always there to help. They made frequent checks and updated the rooms often with new sheets/water/etc. The pool and terrace are in GREAT shape. It is a short walk from the beach and while the area was very crowded, good access to Mapusa and Panjim buses. The entry way and corridors were very clean."
