Beautiful house with amazing furnishings. Very comfortable ! great location. Very private which was nice. 15 minutes outside of Highlands -easy to get to. 30 minutes from Dry falls. House fully stocked with all essentials.The only hiccup was as we checked in the gas fireplace and heater on the porch were not working so I would suggest for property management check all before guest checking in as that is a nice feature of the home to enjoy.Also there are so many TV’s in the house each tv control needs to be marked specific to the room tv as it got confusing and we had trouble with the main tv because of this. Other than that wonderful !

Perfect solitude

The house was cozy and comfortable. It is only 10 minutes from our friends antique store Nestfeathers. The beds were comfy, the kitchen was accomodating and the deck was where we hung out! Very peaceful. We would consider staying again when in the area!

Quiet getaway

Very nice and very private. We plan on staying there again. The close encounter with a black bear getting into the trash cans was a great experience. We manage to capture it on video. The bear took one of the trash cans away but we recovered it the next day. It was such a great experience we will always talk about.

Peaceful and Relaxing

Our stay at this cabin was excellent. The location of the property is close to downtown Franklin and neighboring towns. The main purpose of our trip was to get away and find peace and quiet and it was acheived. The cabin met all needs. The beds were comfortable. The kitchen had all the necessary cooking supplies. Only complaint was we were suppose to check in at 4pm and did not get to check in until 7pm due to housekeeping arriving late. We will definitely rent this cabin in the future.

Very beautiful setting and secluded. House had a few quirks, like the lower bathroom would not lock. Also we found a cooking utensil in the drawer that wasn't clean. The beds were decent. Toilet paper was junk, bring your own. it was so thin it takes half the roll to clean up. All in all home was nice place to get together with family.

Cute cabin

We found the cabin to be very cute with plenty of room for four adults. It was also well stocked and we found everything we needed for the meals we cooked. The location of the cabin was nice as well… close, but not too close, to town. I would not recommend the pull-out couch in the loft for sleeping arrangements for an adult as it was not very comfortable to sleep on. However, it would probably be fine for children. The rental company was very easy to work with and everything from checking-in to checking-out was pretty straightforward. Overall, no complaints and would probably stay again.

Beautiful Country Cabin

This cabin is quite lovely. The set back from the road is perfect, still easy to find but very peaceful. The porch swing and rockers are a must in NC. The fire pit is great with plenty of seating and supplies. The kitchen is fully stocked. I love that this home is dog friendly, however, the bed and blanket linens need to be cleaned after each stay. The cold water supply is definitely an issue that should be resolved or stated in the description. There can only be one running water source at a time. The cabin has air conditioning which is great if you’re staying during warm months. Asking guests to haul away their bagged garbage at the end of their stay is a first for us. Why have garbage cans and weekly pick up? Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would recommend this home. However, we will not use VACASA again as you have no direct access to the home owner, no direct access to local VACASA staff and limited phone access to a VACASA representative in some other state. First and last time using VACASA.

Great, quiet, out of the way cabin. Well appointed with wverything you need to stay as long as you like. We really enjoyed our stay. Be aware that it is 20 minutes to the nearest grocery so bring your food. Also, the road to Nantahala lake is very curvy and the 10 mile drive will take 45 minutes but is worth the drive.

Holiday Sanctuary

My wife grew up just a stone's throw from this property. We rented as a supplemental place to stay during a family holiday visit. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay, no issues or complaints. Would not hesitate to rent again!
