"The hotel has that old fashioned quiet atmosphere with unobtrusive but attentive staff members. It is quietly and comfortably luxurious, perfect for exploring downtown on foot and within a short distance of most interesting restaurants"
"A beautiful hotel, with excellent service!
We loved the staff, our room was perfect and we could walk to many restaurants in the city. The hotel has valet parking under the hotel in a their own parking garage. "
Blue Lobster! 2-BR/1.5 BA with Heat, AC, Deck and Seasonal Dock in Harpswell
10/10 Excellent
"The Blue Lobster was a very cute and well appointed rental that was very clean and had lovely views. The exterior of the home is classic Maine and the surrounding grounds were well tended. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen was conducive to cooking in.The location is central to getting around the area easily; plenty of restaurants and stores are a short drive away. That said, there were a couple of issues: the location map on VRBO is incorrect. I know Harpswell pretty well and the home location is actually south of what is shown, and it's situated on Hyw 24. Though other renters mentioned hearing traffic noise, I did not realize how close it was to the highway due to the map. It was quite loud when the house was opened up, especially over labor day weekend. It did quiet down a bit during the week, and moreso in the evenings. When the house was closed it was not as noticeable. The other issue was that the back door still doesn't lock, as mentioned in other reviews. Overall, though, the pros very much outwieghed the cons and we enjoyed our stay and recommend this rental."
The perfect seaside retreat overlooking scenic Mackerel Cove on Bailey Island
10/10 Excellent
"We had a wonderful stay at this Vrbo in Maine. The property was exactly as pictured—no surprises, just what we hoped for. Everything was clean, well-maintained, and thoughtfully prepared for guests. It’s clear the hosts take pride in keeping the space welcoming and true to its listing. We’d happily stay again and recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing, reliable getaway."
"We stayed for 10 days this summer and had a great stay. The owner was very communicative and responsive. It’s a little bare bones, but overall a really nice stay. "
