"Lovely hotel close to Cascais and the beach. Efficient, if not over friendly reception staff, though the doormen were lovely. Very clean and well equipped rooms, well soundproofed. Eighth floor room gave us splendid views towards Estoril. Would definitely stay again and for longer. On arrival we were asked for a €150 refundable deposit which took us by surprise. Fully refunded on checkout."

"The dining rooms, ballrooms, and spa rooms are immaculately kept. The housekeeping is outstanding, and all the staff are personable and kind. The breakfast is truly an event not to miss - there has to be 120 different items to choose from! Fresh fruit, juices, iberico, baked goods, amazing. It is walking distance across the road to the beach, and great food options in house or walking around the neighboring area. The spa is lovely, with steam, sauna, indoor and outdoor pool, as well as a good menu of services. Honestly, my only complaint is that the carpet in the room needs updating. Other than that, a perfect stay!"

"Casa Vela Guesthouse was a wonderful place to stay… it was beyond our expectations! The grounds and landscaping are spectacular, and it feels like a such a calm escape, yet walking distance to the historic part of town. The staff are very friendly and helpful… special shoutout to André and Tania! It is a special place, and I would love to return someday! "
