Frequently asked questions

What is the best area to stay in Casabona?
The best area to stay in Casabona is the town centre, particularly around Piazza del Popolo.

This central area is the heart of Casabona, offering convenience and a local experience. You'll find many of the town's essential services, traditional shops, and eateries concentrated around the piazza and along Via Roma. It's a walkable area, allowing you to easily explore on foot.

For families, the town centre is an excellent choice due to its accessibility to local amenities and a generally relaxed atmosphere. Children can enjoy the open space of the piazza, and parents will appreciate having everything from grocery stores to gelato shops within a short stroll. The proximity to local parks also offers opportunities for outdoor play.

Couples looking for a peaceful retreat will also find the town centre appealing. It provides a genuine taste of Calabrian life, with opportunities to enjoy quiet evenings at local trattorias or simply observe daily life from a cafe terrace.
When is the best time to go to Casabona?
The best time to go to Casabona is during the late spring (May to early June) and early autumn (September to October) when the weather is pleasant for exploring and the crowds are smaller.

During late spring, the countryside is lush and green, and the temperatures are comfortably warm, typically ranging from 20-25°C. This period is ideal for those who enjoy outdoor activities like hiking or visiting local vineyards without the intense heat of summer. You'll find many local festivals and events beginning to take place, offering a glimpse into Calabrian culture.

Early autumn also offers excellent weather, with temperatures similar to late spring, often hovering around 20-26°C. The sea remains warm enough for swimming until mid-October, and the harvest season brings an abundance of fresh local produce and culinary events.
