We were pleasantly surprised to discover our vintage home so perfectly appointed with modern conveniences, spotlessly cleaned in this old bucks county home. Our host was fantastic, and we highly recommend this home to others visiting the area. Great location for walks and close enough to shopping and restaurants. Perfect combo of historic and updated!

Delightful historic home in a gorgeous neighborhood
If you are a lover of historic homes, consider this lovely, well-maintained VRBO. It is located in a charming, verdant area, off the beaten track, but near to New Hope, Peddlers' Village and other fun places to visit. The home is furnished with taste and care and it was very comfortable for four people. The owners live in a house on the other side of the VRBO and they were very friendly & responsive; we got a requested second key within hours. As stated in the description, there are winding wooden steps down to the kitchen & up to the bedrooms from the main level that require care. We thoroughly enjoyed our 3 night stay in this jewel of a home!

Beautiful house near New Hope and Point Pleasant. Very convenient to Delaware bike trails, New Hope and other attractions. Wonderful hosts. General Store nearby has excellent food. Great spot for my birthday weekend and rafting & kayaking the water release on Tohickon Creek.

This home was awesome. Very cool place. The furniture is outdated and uncomfortable. They provided a poor over coffee pot which I was under the impression it was a normal every day Mr. coffee is what I would be using. However they did provide a Keurig But Tom and Jill were excellent host, and very welcoming and were right next door litteraly if we needed anything.

Please note Nancy that our furniture is not out- dated, but in the style and keeping of an 18th century home. Many of our reviews state how comfortable our home is. We provide a pour through coffee maker so our guests have use of their own coffee, or a Keurig machine which we supply along with coffee pods. Also included is cream, sugar, tea and snacks! The house and location are beautiful! The host could not have been more helpful. It’s a great spot with lots of wonderful places nearby. We had a great stay! If twisty farmhouse stairs or windows that aren’t able to be opened are an issue for you though, this may not be the right house for you.

We pride ourselves on our wonderful Bucks County historic home that has maintained many of those charms, but at the same time offer the guest modern amenities! The pie shaped stairs are one of those enduring features, where we have provided a railing which makes the stairs an integral feature of this home. Those stairs are depicted in our photos. The windows have been sealed as a way to prevent dust and insects from coming into the home, as the residence is set into a charming wood setting. Lovely weekend!
What had been planned as a romantic weekend with my husband turned into a girls’ weekend with my two daughters (age 9 and 11) when our childcare plans fell through. But we were all delighted with the historical home, the charming details, and with our time in New Hope! I hope to make it back again with my husband—perhaps in the fall. Thank you for a lovely stay!

The property is beautifully restored and lies in a quiet setting….much to do in the area outdoors, although you are close to great restaurants, shopping too. The hosts are gracious…and provide all of the amenities of home. Will stay again.

Great getaway for the Ladies
This is a historic property, updated, and nicely designed. The heat was fantastic and we enjoyed the open fireplace both nights. The bedrooms were comfortable, the living area large and comfortable for all of us. Four ladies travelled for shopping and dining. We took a nice walk around the neighborhood during the day. Shopped at Peddler’s Village and in New Hope. The shopping and dining were great in both areas. Came back for cards and wine in the evening. The only challenge was the spiral staircase, but we got used to it rather quickly. We would definitely recommend this place and will consider returning in the future.

We had a wonderful time in Bucks County. Jill's property is just charming - an antique house that has been updated to include modern conveniences. The house was in a very pretty area, and only a short drive to New Hope and Doylestown. The house has very steep stairs that may be tricky for some people.

The stay was wonderful! The hosts Jill and Tom are wonderful and attentive. The snacks and bottle of wine was a very thoughtful gesture. We stayed 4 nights and enjoyed the lovely ambience of the house as we celebrated my son’s wedding in New Hope. I highly recommend this home.

Wonderful Stay!
I booked this property with the hope of finding a clean place to stay because I have a 2 year old who hangs out on the ground a lot. This beautiful home did not disappoint! Something rolled under the bed and I held my breath, thinking there might be a few stray dust bunnies because it's under a bed, and there was nothing. There were also doors at the top of both sets of stairs, which helped me to keep an eye on him. The house is cute and in a gorgeous part of town, about 15 minutes from New Hope. I didn't read the property description well enough and missed that there is not a washer / dryer available, so I ended up using New Stanley Cleaners wash and fold service in Lambertville a few times. We would definitely consider coming back!

A Historic Gem
This is as authentic as it gets: really transports you to a different time and place in history, and makes disconnecting from it all easier. Staying here, you feel like lighting a candle and taking out a fountain pen (if not a quill). There is plenty to explore around in Bucks County, but just soaking in the house is great in itself. Jill and Tom are fabulous hosts: I was greeted by a chilled bottle of rose and homemade blueberry muffins! Thank you and can't wait to be back.

Incredibly unique and beautiful historic home but with all modern comforts, as advertised. The surrounding area so picturesque and fun. Jill was extremely friendly, attentive and detail oriented in all ways. Lots of extra little touches too, just really generous and sweet. We had our 3 year old son with us and Jill left our kids books and toys she thought we would like. Highly recommend!!

A trip back in time - history!
What an amazing house/home! My husband and I along with our daughter, age 10 and our granddaughter, age 12, loved our stay at this beautiful, historical home! The owners made us feel welcome and at home. Jill was so helpful with our booking and travels plans around the area. The home was immaculately clean. She also had some lovely treats/refreshments for us upon our arrival. Our daughter, who loves history, loved our visit so much that she would love to have a return visit soon. Amazing property!
This property is perfect. Just the forest surrounding the house will take your breath away. Saw a beautiful red Fox the first morning. So many different birds. The beautiful Delaware River is 3 minutes away with a fantastic bike and walking trail. Many good restaurants within driving range. But the star of the show is the house! So comfortable and complete in all ways. We so enjoyed being in the house at all times of the day and the owners couldn’t be nicer. We highly recommend this place!!!

The house was so beautifully decorated for the holiday and just right for our family get together. Jill was so welcoming and promptly answered all questions. The kitchen had everything we needed, the beds were very comfortable, and the supplied logs for the fireplace added just the right ambience for our holiday dinner. We hope to visit again soon!
