Escape to this beautiful lakefront retreat nestled in Whispering Pines! Located on Thagards Lake and under a mile from Whispering Pines Golf Club, you have the areas attractions (and views!) at your fingertips!
The space
The home welcomes you with a bright, open living space featuring a wood burning fireplace. Enjoy your morning coffee in the Carolina room soaking in the homes panoramic views of the lake. The gorgeous, newly renovated kitchen is fully equipped to handle all of your cooking needs! Off the main living area is the oversized master bedroom with in suite bath boasting views of the lake from your cozy, king-size bed. You will also find 2 additional bedrooms featuring a queen and bunk bed, and a full bathroom on the first floor. The final queen bedroom with amazing views of the lake and a full bathroom can be located on the lower level. Lake toys, fishing poles, life jackets, beach towels, sunscreen and bug spray are prepped and ready for your visit and can be found in the downstairs utility room. The home offers many amenities! All linens and bedding provided. Fast WI-FI, first floor and downstairs living rooms with TVs and Fire Sticks to stream. Kayaks and paddles are provided to make your stay on the lake adventurous! For the littlest visitors, a pack n play is located in the master bedroom closet. Whether you are looking to relax on the lake or play 18 holes at the areas finest golf courses, this lakefront retreat is perfect for you and your guests!

Great place on a relaxing and quiet lake!

Location and cleanliness of the property was very good. A few parts of the house are a little dated but not super old at all. House had all the amenities we needed plus extras (fishing poles, kayaks, canoes).

This place is everything you want it to be

You are probably in Pinehurst for golf but don’t forget about the nights and downtime between rounds. This place is perfect for recovering and relaxing. The lake is gorgeous and the largemouth are hungry. Dont overthink this…book it now

Many things that were in the write-up to be provided or not. There were no fishing poles. There were no beach towels. And until I informed the owner that there was no bug spray and sunscreen, which she did instacart, she said they didn't provide them and it clearly states that it does

Beautiful place on the lake

A nice home for a family wedding weekend .The main floor living space , bedrooms and spacious , well supplied kitchen were ideal for our 6 adult , one child party . The glassed in porch dining area was not usable , and we didn’t expect the 4th bedroom to be on lower level. The dock and ample fishing supplies made the fishermen happy . Neighborhood quiet, walkable , and convenient to Pinehurst. An ideal spot for us.

Location!

This is a large, comfortable home. The view of the lake is outstanding and exactly as pictured. Portions of the house have been updated, such as the kitchen, so it feels a lot newer than it is. The biggest negative...and this really put us off...was the cleanliness. At 1st, the house appears clean. BUT, some of the linens appeared not to have been washed at all. Several kitchen utensils (frying pan) still had burned on grease and the imprint of what looked like a hamburger patty. And the worst was the master bathroom. Large streak of poo or blood on the tile around toilet area. Communicated with the owner, so hopefully they've had a thorough cleaning and cleaning people have been replaced.

Wonderful bnb

Amazing lake house amongst the pines. Beautiful and updated. Comfy beds. Tons of space to stretch out and relax. Really enjoyed the fire pit. We had a great time all around. Communication, check-in/out were as smooth and easy as could be.

Perfect Lakefront Getaway

We all loved our stay in this very nice house. It was a perfect location, peaceful, beautiful and nicely renovated. Our host Michelle was kind and accomodating. We would definitely stay here again.

Business Trip

We rented the house when we had to come into town for a couple of nights for a work trip. The space was perfect. Big, open living areas. Nice bedrooms which offered privacy. Great water views. We found the house to be well maintained, clean and everything was in working order. Would 100% recommend. I wish we could have made better use of the lake and the amenities offered through that but will definitely be returning for a golf trip soon.

A Close Retreat

This location is a perfect NC getaway. It’s tucked away from the daily stresses, on the water, a beautiful kitchen and spacious bedrooms. I would love to go back in the Spring or Summer to really enjoy the lake.

Girls’ Reunion

The setting was beautiful and perfect for our group. However, the downstairs was only accessible by a spiral staircase, which might be a problem for some. Also there was no central heating or a/c in that area, which was not noted in the description. The firestick was not operable and the remotes for the televisions were missing, although we really didn’t need them.
