The furniture is old and the leatherette (?) armchair is extremely worn—much of the surface material is completely gone. Breakfast was good and well organized for this type of lodging. Staff was friendly. Overall, a pretty good experience for under $100. "

"We loved the halfling house. The overall impression was awe-inspiring, but as we soaked in the little details, the richness just deepened. Nothing failed to transport us to Middle Earth: the architecture, furniture, the curtains, the dishes, the fixtures. Every little decoration tickled me, from the books, to the games, to the light switch plates, to the figurines. Amazing! We watched the LOTR trilogy, cooked some hobbity meals, and dressed up in costumes the host has available for pictures. This trip was one of the coolest things we’ve ever done. "
