Come enjoy a great gateway. Home on the lake! This house (Hardwood Floors throughout) is located on Lake Huron, very clean 3 bedroom house 1,500sf. Only 1.5 hrs driving from Metro Detroit. we have over 100 feet of private sandy beach on Lake Huron. Weekly, bi-weekly and monthly rental available. Weekly rental include the use of our 3 Bedroom house. The house is furnished with log beds and new mattresses. It accommodates up to 10 people. Please call for availability. The house is located 16 miles north of Lexington, Michigan on Lake Huron that offers views of the sunrise. The shallow water is crystal clear and offers the best fishing experience. The private beach to enjoy is right out your front door with 2 decks - Grill - Sandy Beach -Fire pit on beach-- Great Fishing. Enjoy all the comforts of a home for your next vacation without the high cost. over 100 feet beach so you dont have be close with any neighbors.

This was a great place to stay! Right on the water and could have just sat on the beach listening to the waves all day. We wanted an outdoor adventure with lots of beach walking, rock hunting, and beach glass finding. We found just that and so many other parks nearby that you can go to as well.

Beautiful sunrise every morning
Concerns about exposed nails on the deck as it wouldn't be kid friendly I expect the owner is making improvements that will make it better. For me, it was a beach cottage experience. I embraced the quirks.

Our Take on It
The appeal of this shorefront cottage is the location right on Lake Huron with long beach frontage. The kitchen and bathroom have been remodeled but other updates are needed. The host is very responsive. We appreciated him allowing our dogs to accompany us on our first visit to this part of Lake Huron. The area is beautiful. Overall, the cottage is "not fancy" as other reviewers have noted. There are issues with deferred maintenance that affect the deck, the front door and and access to the beach. George said those issues will be addressed and when they are the cottage will truly be a gem on the water. The noise from the road is real but the view and access to the shoreline make up for it.

House could use some love
Location is wonderful and the beach is very nice! However, house could use some serious love. The paint is peeling off the deck, one of the gates on the deck broke when we barely touched it, the steps are super sketchy… There’s some places in the home that feel like they were half-flipped and then forgotten about. Also you get blinded by headlights when on the deck at night.

The best part of this cottage is the view and the ability to walk for miles along the beach. Had some great sunrises and moon rises to enjoy. The cottage is not fancy but we didn’t go to sit inside.

Nice house on a beautiful stretch of beach
We had a great week at this rental, the beach was the highlight being right on the water. We brought water shoes like someone suggested which was a very good idea, but just walking the shore looking for treasures you dont need them. Definitely a return trip in the future!
