About this property
Experience Florida’s Forgotten Coast from your own private waterfront retreat.
Welcome to the Pelican House, a Carrabelle waterfront home with a spacious three-bedroom, 3.5-bath getaway overlooking the beautiful waters of Dog Island Sound and the Gulf of Mexico. Designed to take advantage of the view, the home is filled with windows and French doors that bring the water into nearly every part of the house. This isn’t just a place to sleep between beach trips. It’s a place to slow down, get outside and enjoy the coast right from the property. Guests have exclusive use of the entire home, along with the private dock and our on-property kayaks. Start the morning with coffee overlooking the water, launch a kayak from the property, spend the afternoon fishing or exploring the coastline, then come back for a sunset drink as the light changes over the Sound. Inside, there’s plenty of room for families, couples or a group of friends. The large, open living areas were designed for gathering, with beautiful water views and multiple sets of French doors opening toward the coast. A convenient foyer includes its own wet bar, refrigerator and ice maker. The primary bedroom occupies the upper level with million dollar water views, a walk-in closet and a spacious bathroom with double vanities and a soaking tub. The primary suite also has a private balcony perfect for watching the squadrons of Pelicans cruise by. The home also includes an elevator serving the different levels, making it much easier to bring luggage and groceries upstairs. Outside is where this property really shines. You'll have access to the private waterfront, dock, kayaks, covered porch/balcony and outdoor shower. The property also has a boat lift, making this an especially appealing home base for guests coming to the Forgotten Coast to boat, fish, kayak or simply spend their vacation near the water. And pets are welcome, so there’s no need to leave an important member of the family behind.
