"Beautiful house and stunning views and location. Would highly recommend to able bodied people. On arrival the property is located at the end of a terrace of 5 houses down an uneven path and through 2 gates. The nearest the car can park to off load was at the end of the terrace so all luggage had to be carried 90+ steps to the property. The car then had...

Top Carno Hotel Reviews

The Hafod Hotel

10/10 Excellent

"Lovely staff, well kept room, delicious breakfasts, dinner, and Sunday lunch"

The lion hotel

10/10 Excellent

"Very clean, newly refurbished pub in a good location with interesting artistic decorations by local artist who owns the property. Good base to explore this part of the Wales/England border. Comfortable room and excellent breakfast. We ate at the pub both nights and evening meal was also very good. Lovely staff. Parking seemed to be no problem, either in pub's very small car park or on roads in village."

The Dragon Hotel

8/10 Good

"All staff were extremely helpful and friendly in all areas of the hotel. Unfortunately there was no working radiators on the top floor and the room was cold. There was a small electric fan heater in the room which we cleaned prior to as it it was covered in dust. My fault but I hadnt realised that there wasn't a proper shower in a room described as a premium. The kettle was dirty with coffee stains on the outside and generally appeared old. I wasn't happy to use it until I cleaned it. Food and drinks all excellent."

The Lowfield Inn

10/10 Excellent

"For us, just a one-night stay, but we arrived about 4pm on a Sunday afternoon, to find this is an extremely popular venue for Sunday lunches. The menu continued into the evening and we were able to see why it's so popular. A great meal, and then a lovely cooked breakfast the next morning. The room, facilities and bed were all comfortable and all in all, we had made a good choice in a quiet rural location."
