Sunny Side of the Street

I just wanted to reach out and share the extra precautions that will be implemented due to the Corona Virus. Be assured that ALL bedding, blankets, comforters, duvet covers, sheets, mattress covers, pillow covers and towels will be washed in hot water. This will be done the morning of check in. The entire home will be diligently cleaned and sanitized before your arrival.

We are fortunate to live in an area where natural beauty is abundant! In this time of social distancing we have so many opportunities to get outside. Go for a walk along the beach, a hike in Big Sur or a stroll through Carmel Valley. The possibilities are endless in one of the most beautiful places in the world!

As a member of the Monterey Bay Aquarium, you have to access to 2 guest passes that you and your family may take advantage of!

This sunny, family-friendly home is located a few blocks from the Carmel Mission and minutes from downtown Carmel. The house itself features three queen bedrooms and two full sized bathrooms. French doors open on either side of the large living room to both the front garden patio and the spacious back deck. The location provides easy access to the greater Peninsula where you can enjoy exploring beaches, hiking, John Steinbeck’s historical Cannery Row, Monterey Bay Aquarium, and nature paths along the stunning shoreline. I am a member of the Monterey bay aquarium and I have 2 guest passes available for your friends and family.



The residence is within walking distance of the Carmel Crossroads Shopping Center, and crawling distance from the finish line of the Big Sur International Marathon. Heading south on Highway One you are only two miles from whale watching at Point Lobos State Park, and 26 miles from breathtaking Big Sur. We are fortunate to host a variety of events in the area, such as the AT&T Pro-Am Golf Tournament, Concours D’ Elegance, Monterey Jazz Festival, Big Sur International Marathon, Bach Festival, Reggae Festival, races at Laguna Seca, and an annual Food and Wine event.


Amenities include a kitchen that is stocked for indoor and outdoor cooking, washer and dryer, hair dryer, flat screens in every room with cable, laptop workspace and wifi, off street parking, and an extra queen aerobed. In addition, you will find everything you need to vacation with a toddler, including a high chair, Pack ‘n’ Play, booster seat, stroller, and plenty of toys. A large play structure and sandbox in the back yard are guaranteed to keep your children entertained for hours. When you are ready to hit the beach, everything you need for a fun-filled day is supplied: toys, table and chairs, cooler, umbrella, towels, and an all-terrain wagon.

A wonderful place to stay

I was looking for a quiet place to stay for a short getaway in Carmel as I do visit this area a few times a year and this was absolutely perfect, not too big nor too small. This house is well stocked with everything you need to be comfortable, just an enjoyable home to reside in for your travels.

Great house and yard

The house is perfect for travelers with children because of the fabulous backyard. It’s also great if you just want to enjoy the several outdoor spaces and relax. The location is very convenient. We loved our stay.

Wonderful home for family with small kids

The house is absolutely lovely. So comfortable and warmly decorated, huge deck and big backyard with sand pit and play structure which my kids loved. Would definitely stay here again!

Clean, convenient and cozy!

Jamie is a gem! Her place is so comfortable and conveniently located. She had great linens, towels etc. and a fully stocked kitchen (dishes, utensils) etc to make meals. She also had beach chairs and an array of suggestions for an incredible girls weekend!

Great time at sunny side of the street

The location and amenities were perfect for our stay. We traveled with our daughter and son in law and their two small boys. The boys loved the yard and toys. What a gre as t week while we celebrated our son’s wedding in Carmel.

Cozy Cottage in Carmel

This home has all the personality and charm that you want when you stay in Carmel. Loved enjoying happy hour on the beautiful deck and everything else was comfortable and clean. Close to the mission trail which can take you right into downtown.

Beautiful Carmel Escape

Family Fun

Excellent accommodations for hanging out with the family between trips into “town” and to see the aquarium. The rear yard is amazing - both for the kid’s playground and the comfy adult covered deck. Right off highway 1 so convenient for coming/going by car. Loved it!

Beautiful Carmel Home from Home

Our 3-generation family loved this beautiful house. The children’s loved the play equipment in the garden and the indoor games, Carmel-opoly was a bit hit! The adults loved the outdoor space and the proximity to Carmel and other amenities. Jamie was a fantastic host. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

We had a lovely stay at Jamie’s place. The house had everything we needed (pack-n-play for baby), stocked kitchen, bathrooms and laundry room. The cottage is quaint and charming with two lovely patios that are full of flowers. Jamie was great with communication and responded quickly to every request and question.We loved our stay!

Perfect for families!

The house is in the absolute most perfect location for exploring downtown Carmel by the Sea, Monterrey, and Big Sur. Although my kids just wanted to stay home and play in the incredible backyard! Jamie made a point to welcome us and give us recommendations around town. She is the sweetest! Wouldn’t consider staying anywhere else on our next trip.

Comfy in Carmel

This house was the perfect location in Carmel. So convenient to everything. The house was darling and had every amenity- from the backyard zip line to the fully stocked kitchen. Lots of great toys and books for my grandchildren. We had the best Thanksgiving vacation!

Great stay!

We were in town for a wedding to visit family and friends. This rental is conveniently located, has a seasoned and professional host who is very friendly and kind, and the space could not have been more charming and comfortable. It is accurately represented and if you are traveling with children, I can’t imagine a better place for them! We highly recommend this wonderful home and wouldn’t hesitate to return, in fact we can’t wait til next time!!

Perfect family reunion house!

Jamie is truly an amazing host. Her house is the house to stay in while you are in Carmel! It is beautiful and has a large porch in the back yard and a smaller one in the front. 5 minute drive to downtown Carmel. That’s where we will stay any time we go to Carmel!

Adorable Home

This is a great property for a family. Fun backyard for the kids. The house has so much warmth. Beautiful outdoor patio on the front of the house surrounded by flowers. A calming oasis. Close to Carmel, Pebble Beach and a short distance to Monterrey.

Cute gateway in carmel

I have never stayed in a more well appointed and completely accurate VRBO!! This is a great house- My family and I found this place amazing. Beautiful rooms, gorgeous outdoors (those flowers!!!!) and everything was spotlessly clean. Communication was great Jamie and Anne responded within minutes. We had a wonderful time! Anne.
