This is now one of our favorite places to stay around the U.S. Being from Cloquet and my relatives live on this lake, it worked out perfectly for us. Every amenity you can imagine in the house! The hot tub was perfect! We recommend renting the boat and fishing! Great communication from the host! If you want guaranteed memories for your vacation/travels then this is it!

The home is beautiful. Views are amazing from any room on any level. Huge bedrooms, living areas and kitchen. Plenty of room for everyone. Great view of lake! They have pretty much any household appliance/gadget you’d ever want/need. Felt just like home. Great communication snd super friendly owners. Will be looking to stay here again for sure!

Great get away!

Our family stayed at the property in June as an alternative to staying in Duluth for Grandma's Marathon. It was a great stay and I would definitely recommend! The hot tub was great and there's lots of deck/patio spaces to gather outside. Additionally, the inside was great for socializing and a large kitchen which was the hub of everything.

Great weekend getaway!

We celebrated a 50th birthday with friends this weekend, and we had the best time! Beautiful setting by the lake, and the hot tub was a relaxing retreat in the evening. Kayaking in the lake was a fun activity too! The house was beautiful and well stocked with everything we needed!

Overall, we really enjoyed our stay. The property is a great setup for a large family, the beds were very comfortable, and the kids had a blast using the kayaks. We would absolutely consider staying here again because the location and layout were exactly what we were looking for. There were a few areas that could be improved. At check-in, I had to reach out to request the door code because it hadn’t been sent automatically. It also took some time to locate information about the property since most of it was posted on a bulletin board inside the house. In my experience with other vacation rentals, that information is usually sent before arrival, so the check-in process felt less seamless than expected. I also wish a more secure, unique door code had been assigned for our stay, as it didn’t inspire much confidence from a security standpoint. The biggest issue was the cleanliness. The home wasn’t unsanitary, but it was overdue for a thorough deep cleaning. There was an abundance of alive and dead bugs throughout the house, including a blanket behind the couch that was covered in them. We also ran into a few maintenance issues, a shower door that didn’t fully close & rocked while in use, one of the stove burners wasn’t working, & doors with testy locks. None of these issues ruined our trip, and we genuinely enjoyed the property. However, for the price point, I expected a higher standard of cleanliness and a bit more attention to maintenance and the guest experience.

Quiet Place

Came here and looking for a peaceful place away from the city and this place didn’t disappoint. large home but very cozy. Wanted to spend a little bit more time outside, but luckily there was a storm with horrible winds and couldn’t stay outside for long. But made the best of it Inside watching movies, snacking having a couple drinks and relaxing. The only thing missing is at least having one TV in a room.

Idyllic Retreat

This is a beautiful property that is perfect for fun and relaxation. It is a new, spacious, and clean house, big bedrooms and bathrooms, plus pullout couches for larger groups. Big deck upstairs with beautiful views, and patio deck on main level with hot tub. Pet friendly space. Upstairs space gets bright and warm with morning sun. Has direct beach access with dock and kayaks avail on site. We enjoyed watching misty mornings on lake with eagles dropping down to fish. Great kitchen and outdoor grill for cooking in, restaurants close by for going out. State Park and trails close by for biking/hiking. Duluth is 35 min away, with parks/ views of Lake Superior, fantastic local shops and breweries. Just a great get away spot. Owners are very responsive for questions and can provide suggestions as needed.

Exceeded our expectations in every way

Comfort and cleanliness are typically a problem for us because our standards are so high, but this property has exceptionally comfortable beds, and is new and spotless throughout. The property manager thought of every aspect of our comfort. The kitchen was fully stocked, down to cold water bottles in the fridge. Abundance of towels was available in both bathrooms. The three bedrooms were beautiful, clean, and inviting— with the highest quality memory foam mattresses, and good quality pillows. Fans on the ceiling kept the rooms ventilated. Nets on the windows let the breeze in without bugs. The panoramic Lake views were breathtaking! The stairway down to the lake and the floating bench turned the sunrise into a meditative experience. The Jacuzzi was spotless and a wonderful addition to our fun. We also loved the modern bathtub upstairs. We loved stargazing from bed through the huge windows overlooking the lake. In every way, this property was a treat, and we hope to return again.

Great Stay

Home was amazing with fantastic views from all bedrooms and so many areas of the house. Bedrooms were spacious, nicely decorated and beds/pillows very comfortable! There was even a sleeper sofa on the second level and a huge sectional with foos ball and a large TV in the basement. The kitchen and living area was beautiful with all the amenities such as air fryer, keurig, toaster oven, bar set with martini shaker, muddlers, etc and we loved having 2 sinks in the kitchen! The kitchen table comfortably sat 6, although we did squeeze in a 7th and there is also extra seating at the island. The living room furniture was very comfortable, decks gorgeous with a fire table and tables with umbrellas and chairs. There were kayaks for use in the garage along with extra outdoor chairs and a bean bag game. The hot tub was very relaxing also! Lake views were amazing and two bald eagles frequently fly over and perch on the tree next door!! Westin was very attentive and responsive to questions & was seeking feedback on how to make the home & amenities even better. If you are someone who struggles with stairs this may not be the place for you, as there are quite a few to gain entry, but we will definitely stay again! There is a bedroom on the main level and you can walk up the hill from the side of the house and then only have 1 or 2 steps in from the side facing the lake if need be😉

Solid stay with lots to offer

Fantastic property with lots of amenities, but given my wife and friends were only there for an overnight stay, we weren’t able to take advantage of everything this place has to offer. The three levels were open and spacious with nice views of the lake (except for the basement). The main floor was spacious with a great sized kitchen to make meals and all sorts of different appliances, cookware and spices. There’s also a nice dining table and living area. The main floor also features one bedroom with a king sized bed and en-suite bathroom that also acts as guest bathroom. There’s a walkout to an outdoor bar height table and chairs, the grill, new large fire ring and hot tub. The yard is currently being grown, with a path and stairs that lead to a dock on the lake. The second floor hosts two equal sized bedrooms with king sized beds, a shared bathroom and open space that leads out to a massive deck with a wonderful view of the lake. There’s a large outdoor sectional with a gas fire table and another bar height table with chairs. The tall overhanging roofline helps shade the afternoon sun as well as some light rain. We didn’t hang out much downstairs but there is a foosball table, a seating area with a large TV. There are large TVs on each floor. In the garage, there are a couple of kayaks, folding chairs, and cornhole. There were a few little issues, but the host was amazing to work with. Overall the place is clearly outfitted for fun on the property and lake!
