About this property
Beautiful Water Views from this Condo - where land ends an Ocean begins
While you won’t have access to resort amenities, this villa comes with plenty of its own perks! Your property condo amenities include a large heated pool, pickleball and tennis courts, high-speed Wi-Fi, outdoor grills, community washer/dryers (coin operated), beach chairs and towels, and—of course—the beach just steps away. It’s everything you need for the perfect getaway! Golf Cart rentals are close by, but please note that only electric carts are allowed within the gates of the resort.
Enjoy picturesque sunsets year-round from the screened lanai overlooking the blue Gulf of Mexico and long walks on the uncrowded beach of Captiva Island. Don’t miss out on this Gulf-front, bedroom one bathroom updated condo!
Located in the highly desirable Beach Villas at the south end of the Island Resort, this property has a wonderful view of the Gulf of Mexico and the stunning sunsets. This specific unit was chosen pre-construction so as not have any pool area directly in front of the unit, where the surrounding plantings could obscure the view. The view is superior to many of the higher-up units. The condo is conveniently located within walking distance of Captiva Village, where you will find dining and shopping. It's nice not to have to worry about parking at the restaurants or where your car keys are.
This updated one-bedroom condo is very well equipped, and you will find most of the accommodations of home. Some of the amenities included are; fully equipped kitchen, full size refrigerator with ice maker, dishwasher, separate bedroom with king size bed and ceiling fan (queen sofa sleeper out in living room), coin laundry (down stairs), stereo with ipod and mp3 attachment, 2 smart Roku flat panel TVs (55" living room & 43" bedroom), where guests can log into their favorite channels and they are automatically logged out upon departure, resort), hair dryer, Iron, Ironing Board, free WI-Fi internet connection, plantation shutters, and porcelain tile flooring throughout. There is an elevator, but you may not need it since the condo is on the first level, up only one flight of steps. This particular unit was chosen for the prime ocean view without having to go up and down additional steps every time you go somewhere. Captiva does beckon you to get out and go. Enjoy the graceful wildlife.
Kingfisher Vacations will only book reservations up to 51 weeks in advance. All our properties have contact-free check-in; no need to stop at the office (or a stop light, none of those here)!

We really enjoyed our stay in Captiva at the South Sea Villas... Well equipped beachfront unit, close access to pool and beach. Will definitely come back. The Island is still recovering but already offering a great experience! Loved Captiva.
I did not stay in the original listing but was rebooked to a large house with a separate pool. It was a lovely home but due to the extreme heat the pool was quite warm.
House was exactly as described and presented in great condition. The contact with kingfisher was also friendly and clear. I would book again.
Great property on the South Seas Resort. Comfortable and well equipped. While it is technically a first floor condo there are a set of steps up to the elevated first level. You'll need to pass thru a security gate to enter the complex. Unfortunately the guard did not have knowledge of our rental and we had to backtrack to the resort office. A bit inconvenient but only delayed us by 15 min. The beach is delightful and uncrowded. Restaurants nearby, most within walking distance. We would rent again.
Clean, small, but well equipped condo. 5 beach chairs, 2 umbrellas, shelling scoop other pool floating items. Quiet, gaited area, quick walk to store and a few restaurants. Very relaxing!

Lovely condo and beautiful views.
The condo was comfortable and very close to the beach and Andy Rosse Lane. The only time we drove was to go to Sanibel. This was my husband's first time to Captiva and he loved it.

Great Gulf view! Easy walking distance to cafes, stores etc. Comfortable large bed, very clean, nicely laid out condo and furnishings. Used the grill and beach chairs and umbrellas with wheeled cart made the 50yrds to beach very easy. Walk to lunches/dinners was a real plus for us.Evenings in screened lanai with fan was always enjoyable to watch sunsets over the Gulf.

Will Stay Here Again
Great location and view! The condo was super clean and the furniture was comfortable. Our 11 year old son was just fine on the sofa sleeper. He enjoyed the big TV in the living area. The screened patio was awesome! Easy easy walk to the least crowded beach area and walkable to Starbucks, Doc Fords and everything. The owner was accommodating and the management company was responsive and friendly. We will be back!

Paradise lost
Condo was fine.Construction on building and painting on condo patio and door was annoying. Also construction was every day from 6 am to 7pm with debris everywhere. In my opinion, the complex was not ready for guests. The plus side was no crowds.

Sunset spectacular
Condo very nice. Beautiful view. Dishwasher rusted out and leaking. Had to have service guy come replace. Failed to remove plug and when ran dishwasher started leaking at dishwasher. Came out and removed plug. All taken care of but did tie up some of our vacation time

Wonderful island condo!
This one-bedroom condo was perfect for our January vacation! The weather was gorgeous, upper 70's to low 80's (made even better since the temps back home were below zero). It sounds cliche, but we did take long walks on the beach every morning. We spent time relaxing on the screened-in lanai during the hottest part of the day (with our iPads and the wifi availability), then used the condo's beach chairs and umbrellas to sit on the beach in the afternoons. Dinner restaurants were just a short walk up the beach - the Key Lime Bistro was our favorite (very good live entertainment). We did not use our car except for a drive into Sanibel to pick up a few groceries. Mike, the owner, was extremely helpful with both the reservation process and making recommendations for restaurants and activities on the island. I highly recommend this condo for couples who want a relaxing winter get-away!

Great Place to Stay!
My husband and I stayed here for a week after visiting Disney World the week before. This was the perfect place to visit after all that walking. We've stayed at South Seas before through the resort, but this was much better (and a lot less expensive)! We had all the comforts of home. Mike and Sheila thought of everything. The beach chairs, umbrellas and cart to get them to the beach were great and easy to use. The condo was beautiful, and the kitchen was well stocked. We cooked several meals in the condo, and ate outside on the lanai overlooking the water. They recently remodeled and everything was really nice. Bed was very comfortable and there were plenty of towels in the bathroom. The ocean water was too cold to swim in, but we took advantage of two of the three heated pools. We walked to Doc Fords Rum Bar & Grill and loved it. Would definitely recommend this place, and we would like to come back when it's a little warmer.

fabulous location!
You really can't beat waking up to the sound of the waves, the comfort of that onshore breeze and the smell of coffee to be enjoyed on the screened-in deck while watching the Ospreys protect and feed their young in the nearby nests.
Just wish I had remembered my binoculars!
The condo was great - really great, for the morning, afternoon, and evenings. -the only disappointment was the bedroom, which had only one window which faces the entryway (for this unit and for two others) -and a bed and bedding that was OK, but just OK. A small investment in better bedding (mattress and pillows) would largely offset the window issue. We really should have just made up the fold-out bed in the living room and slept closer to the amazing gulf.. - All in all, though, a great spot and a great vacation value.

very nice vacation
Very nice vacation in Captiva at this condo with a wonderful view. Captiva-Sanibel are little gems... The nature is lush, you really enjoy the caribbean feel of it all.
Nice condo with wonderful sunset views on screened porch.
If you like the gated "resort" feel, with all the amenities, this is for you.
Since we were there in July, many families with kids were also renting units. Sometimes the music and the noise was quite present on the premisses (around the nearby pool for ex.), and on the main beach portion, where all the umbrellas with chairs are set together.
So thank you for providing umbrellas and two beach chairs with handles to carry them as backpacks : we used them everyday to walk (5-10 min) to the most quiet part of the beach (where the big Beach Homes are) to spend many hours of swimming and reading in a more secluded area - swimming pools were often to busy... and the sea is so nice and calm: no need for them!
We discovered a little gem of a store in Sanibel : Gene's bookstore (specialised in movies/DVD and thrillers/mystery books at really good prices); quite a find!
Very good communication with owner.
Very secure, gated resort and helpful owner that you can trust. The booking is made through professional Royal Shell Vacations rental agency.
The unit was clean and the kitchen adequate for a weeks vacation. The view is lovely and location convenient for walking to restaurants. We loved the comfortable beach chairs. It was cold while we were there and the furnace wasn't working but the management company was responsive.
This condo is beautifully and comfortably appointed with beach views and steps from the beach and pools. Close to Captiva's restaurants and shopping. Towels, coolers, beach chairs, umbrella all provide to make each day at the beach enjoyable. Kitchen is well stocked and has Keurig and a regular coffee maker. We didn't do much cooking though so we could enjoy eating at all the local restaurants while on vacation.

Property Review
Good. For just two of us, it's fine. We would use this unit again.
We have stayed in this unit in the past. It had an extremely slow shower drain a few years ago – and apparently has never been repaired.
The use of a real estate agent lockbox for the key is cumbersome and outdated. Digital technology should be utilized.
Beach chairs good, umbrellas not good. Three umbrellas – but none of them in good repair.
Location very convenient. But the entire South Seas Villas property is a bit tired. Elevators frequently don't work, property maintenance seems ok, but not great.
Enjoyed the sunsets from the screened porch very much. We really loved the island as it felt like we were out of the country in the Carribean. The condo was clean and provided all the beach tools needed (chairs, umbrellas and boogie boards).
