Casa Gaia was a lovely place to stay in beautiful Capri! It’s a short (but uphill) walk from the ferry and to the main town at Marina Grande, with easy access to everything you’ll want to get to on the island. Our host Gisella was delightful and very helpful with directions and recommendations of places to see and how we can get there. Our room was modest with an incredible view from the balcony. There is a shared common space with a small kitchenette and a large outdoor garden with lemon trees and chairs. Surrounded by nature there were some insects in the space, which is to be expected. Some of the features could use some upgrades, such as the main gate that sticks and the storage lockers for luggage which were flimsy. Overall a great experience and we were glad we stayed!

This was a very nice place to stay. Very nice. Very clean , I could tell they use bleach when cleaning and everything was spotless! She was very nice and was patient and answered our questions and grab excellent advise! It was so nice and on point with the price that we extended our stay. And I extended it the night before and we had a tour of the grotto so we we’re not able to move our stuff to the new room. So the owner who is awesome took care of it and moved all our stuff for us including what we had in the refrigerator! My wife and I will be going back to Capri and have decided we will stay there for sure!

Ok so this property was awesome!!! The owner and the other lady were awesome and very friendly! You have a kitchen in your room and it had stocked coffee which is nice instead of having to go pay 4 euro for a cup. I’m from Texas and I was thinking the price was cheap because there would be some issues but it is a beautiful place!!!!!

Gisela who checked us in was lovely and helpful. The property was very spacious and includes most of what you would need. The problem is that the place is not so clean. In fact both showers and behind one sink had a lot of mold and mildew. When I mentioned it I was told that they close in a week and would be doing a thorough cleaning which did not make me happy because it was disgusting and I had to find flip-flops to wear in the shower because I did not want to touch the floor. Also it should be more obvious that there are significant stairs to climb to access the property and you can’t take a car to the property and have to actually carry your luggage up approximately 63 stairs plus a good stretch of inclined Road. I don’t know who ring these but 10 out of 10 is absolutely untrue unless these people don’t care about

Casa Gaia is a beautiful little property full of character. The location is so convenient and easy to find. The building is a little bit older but it is clean, comfortable and relaxing. Gaia herself is incredibly friendly and helpful. With her recommendations and hospitality we had an amazing time in Capri.

Great Option Near the Port
If you’re looking for a nice spot that is walking distance from the port, I’d highly recommend this place. Gaia, the owner, was very proactive and helpful throughout our stay. The room was nice and comfortable and we appreciated the shared kitchenette as well. It was easy to walk down to the Marina to catch the bus or funicular.

The best thing about Casa Gaia, is Gaia. She is the best hostess I've ever encountered. She went above and beyond during my stay, kept in regular communication with me via WhatsApp and was kind enough to make reservations for me at restaurants in Capri for dinner (reservations in August are a must), which was very appreciated as my Italian is non existent. The property itself is close to Marina Grande, be warned there are steps and an incline to get to it. This property is not suitable for anyone with any type of mobility issues, I'd also say you need a decent level of fitness. That's applicable to walking around Capri in general. I chose to walk up the hill to Capri each day, but you can walk down to Marina Grande and take the bus or the tram. I had the room with the sea view and balcony and was glad with my choice, even though I spent the majority of my time away from the room.

Gaia is an excellent host. She helped us with all the details about our stay in Capri. She recommended awesome restaurants and made reservations for us. With her help we booked a boat trip, we saw the best sunset in Anacapri and we had an amazing time! Her home is close to Marina Grande and we used to walk down to the marina to take the funicular to go to Capri center. We loved our stay there! Thank you Gaia!

It was very nice. The bed was comfortable, we had a small kitchen. The bathroom was very nice with purple, red, blue and yellow lights in the shower. Gaia was so nice, she gave us lots of great information on how to get around and where to go.

We were within a 10-15 min walk of the port and a 15 min walk to the town of Capri. Gaia is a lovely hostess ... thoughtful, friendly and helpful. Our room was very clean and fresh, with a wonderful balcony. We had the use of a shared kitchen (with one other room), a shared sitting space and a lovely garden and patio.

Perfect holiday in Capri
The facility was beautiful and conveniently located to walk to town or the busses or funicular. The went out of her way to make us comfortable in every way from meeting us at the port and assisting in carrying our luggage to upgrading our reservation and giving us a tutorial of Capri and the best places to visit, etc. There is a small kitchen where we prepared breakfast each day and comfortable gathering places inside and out. I can’t say enough about Casa Gaia and our wonderful stay there.

Difficult to find and get the luggage to the B& B
The inly problem was that we were not told we needed toget a porter to be able to walk to Casa Gaia. After we got out of the boat we had 2 large suit cases and bags. Casa Gaia is situated on a steep hill. Very difficult to manage our luggage. Only at check out the owner told us we needed to hire a porter by the marina to pick up our luggage snd bring it down And pay them. We would not have stayed at Casa Gaya if we knew this situation. The house is nice and clean and Gaya was helpful to tell us about sight seeing.

What we liked the best was the ¨home feeling¨, beginning with the welcome reception done by the Gaia, a wonderful person that takes the time to explain what to do and where in a map !! We had a problem with a slim card we bought to stay connected and did not work. She fallowed us, up to 1 am because she was worried for us, that we had not arrived to the hotel that night by 1 am, just like a sister would have done!!. One souvenir that we lost, and she knew, she bought it and sent it to Florence, where we were. It is amazing the kind of love she gives to her work, her guests and all what she touches. I would definitely recommend it, Casa Gaia is just as arriving to my sister´s home! Thank you Gaia, thank you a thousand times !! We love you !!

This place is heaven! The villa is beautiful and has a lovely tranquil garden where you can rest among the lemon trees. Our room was perfect, really comfortable and with excellent facilities including a kitchen. The location is superb, a short walk from the marina and within easy reach of Capri Town. Gaia is the perfect host: she will provide you with all the information you need before you arrive, and was super-helpful when we got there, giving us all the info we needed to enjoy our stay on the island. If we ever return to Capri (which I hope to do) I will stay here. Highly recommended. Grazie mille Gaia!

très accueillant
sejour d'une nuit, mais nous aurons pu rester beaucoup plus grace au confort et beauté de la maison, chambre très propre et confortable avec tout le nécessaire pour se sentir comme à la maison, cuisine et salon partagé avec une autre chambre. Situation idéale à 5 minutes du port et à 15 de Capri (il faut monter) à pied. Gisella est très agréable et donne tous les informations nécessaires sur l'île

Inte på allt för långt promenadavstånd från hamnen. Man möts upp av den fantastiska Gaia själv i hennes forna sommarhus som gjorts om till tre mindre lägenheter med sovrum, pentry och badrum. Hon är mycket mån om att allt är bra. Capri själv är mycket vackert men väl överbefolkat i början av augusti. Villa san Michele värt resan.

Gaia war unfassbar fürsorglich und hat alles organisiert, so zB auch eine private Bootstour. Early Checkin und late Checkout kein Problem, wenn möglich. Die Lage ist auch sehr Ok, nur am Anfang mit dem Gepäck vom Hafen die Stufen hoch war etwas anstrengend, aber das ist auf Capri wohl überall so.
