"Do not stay at New Barcavela under any circumstance. We booked this hotel for our honeymoon, and it completely ruined our trip. The property is severely unhygienic and heavily infested with cockroaches; we found them crawling in the bathroom, making the space entirely unusable. Furthermore, the hotel is a consumer scam. They advertise a "private beach" on booking platforms but hide a mandatory €30/day fee per beach bed. The room itself was a disaster: tiny, filthy, lacking basic amenities like...

All hotel staff from management, front of house, waiter/waitresses, maids and pool life guard including maintenance are there to help at any moment. Staff were very helpful and friendly , kids entertainment and kids club great but overall it felt more like a 4 star than a 5 star hotel , certainly not worth the amount I paid , little bit of a let down considering curio is usually very exclusive."

"It was a nice experience overall, but lacked any wow factor. The Conrad itself was fine and the pool was a good thing to have access to. The beach is lovely. Overall though it was very expensive and the food at the Conrad itself was too expensive. The wider resort was more reasonable but not up to the its 4 star rating. We wouldn’t go again but whilst each element was fine it was too much money for the overall experience."
