This was our family's first stay in Cape May, and this home was a good place to start. We were within walking distance of much of what we wanted to see in Cape May, including the fourth of July fireworks and many restaurants. Although we didn't walk to the beach (too much gear to carry), our family of three kids (ages 6, 8 and 11) definitely enjoyed the neighborhood surrounding our rental.
The home itself is spacious (actually more space than our family of five and a dog needed), but not without quirks. Due to an issue with the prior guests, we had to wait two and a half hours after arriving before the house was clean and ready to be inhabited. Numerous light bulbs were burnt out, the lawn was in desperate need of being mowed (was finally mowed on Thursday), the heat turned on (in spite of the warm weather), various electrical outlets didn't work until we flipped the breaker switches, etc. Through it all, Kimberli was very attentive and tried to troubleshoot for us as much as possible.
The house was definitely dated, and you shouldn't expect many frills. Be prepared to need to purchase all your seasonings, coffee filters, etc. However, my husband and I both agreed that you get a lot of house and a great location for the cost. We would definitely consider staying again!
