"Hotel is beautifully restored and well maintained and it has great amenities, most notably its beachfront pool and restaurant. Staff for the most part was excellent, with just a couple of exceptions. Restaurant was excellent, and daily events fun for those who chose to participate. "

Modernist Oasis is located in the beautiful North End of Virginia Beach
10/10 Excellent
"This property and location did not disappoint. We were able to host several adults, with no one feeling crammed. The layout is fantastic, and the location, well, have we mentioned the location? We were right at the end of 'Pool' season, and it was enjoyed by everyone in our group on several days. The kitchen layout is great for big group meals, and socializing. We would definitely stay here again. "
Charming Beach Cottage Only 100 yds from the beach

"Great family friendly place to stay. It was clean, quiet, and comfortable. Had everything we needed. Access to the beach was amazing, short walk to the end of the street and you are right on the boardwalk. The beach was beautiful and clean. It's away from the major tourist part of the beach which we preferred. Highly recommend staying here. "

"We had a truly unforgettable stay at Sandswept! From start to finish, our experience was fantastic, largely thanks to our wonderful host, Gayle. She was incredibly responsive both before and during our visit, always quick to answer questions and ensure everything was perfect. The house itself is one-of-a-kind filled with character and thoughtful design. With massive glass windows, unique architectural elements, and a stunning “pelican perch” room and deck, it reminded us of something Frank Lloyd Wright might have dreamed up. The views were breathtaking!Inside, the kitchen was extremely well-appointed. It had everything we needed was already there, making it easy to settle in and cook meals together. Each room was comfortable and well thought out: the beds were great, there was plenty of space to unpack, and we appreciated having different sleeping options for our family’s needs. My older parents loved the coolest (literally and figuratively!) room, and the kids were thrilled to have their own quieter spot downstairs. The location couldn’t have been better—nestled in a peaceful neighborhood with easy access to a quiet stretch of beach. We were lucky enough to spot 10–20 dolphins daily, swimming just 50 yards from shore. It felt magical.Another big plus: it’s very dog-friendly, which was a must for us. Our pup felt right at home. We’re already dreaming of a return trip. Thank you, Gayle, for sharing this beautiful home with us!"
