A great no-frills option in Cape Town. You will be at the UCT campus. Rooms are small but have everything you need. Note that there are units with shared bathroom.

One of the best hotels we’ve stayed at, great views, amenities and food options. The staff were so friendly and made it a great few days for our family.

First the parts I didn’t like. This was the apartment side of the hotel. We had a two bedroom apartment. There were two bathrooms. One had a shower, another had a tub with no shower, it was a surprise. They were both dark compared to the rest of the apartment which opened to a beach/ocean/lagoon view and very bright and beautiful. The apartment itself was quite dated and seemed to need a deep cleaning or five. The lights were bright florescent and not warm colors, made the whole apartment look and feel artificially bright with white walls reflecting the lights. The shelves in the closet seemed to have been a slapdash job while being put together, two of them came off when things were put on them. I put them back and fixed them as best as I could and didn’t use them for the rest of our stay. Parts that I liked. There were hand made oil paintings throughout the apartment/hotel. They were of varied themes and quite well done by local artists. This apartment/hotels best feature is its restaurant staff. The bar next to the restaurant gets loud and busy sometimes. But the food was excellent in both the restaurant and the bar. The location is great too, the apartment/hotel and the entry to the beach are next to each other. It’s close to the town (Century City) mall. Beautiful drive to get there too. Every morning we woke up to the view of the ocean and shops anchored. There were a couple garden areas with birds and tree, and picnic areas. The balcony was huge with seating.
