Location Location Location! Amazing waterfront property just steps down from the backdoor. We loved listening to the waterfall and took advantage of the firepit outback to make s'mores with our son for the 1st time. Memories to last a lifetime.
This was one of the best locations that we have satyed at. It was absolutely breath taking. We loved splashing in the river, and watching the fire flies! It was a a very relaxing stay for our family.
This is the absolute best river view I’ve ever seen! Very quiet and tranquil. Plus there were hundreds of fireflies in the yard when the sun set. I will definitely be back.
Overall it was good location great river access. Although up till 3:00am Wednesday mopping up water coming thru front door due to rain, had to buy a water hose to clean up the mud on carport ,a/c didn’t cool master bedroom and also do not know if the host is aware but the master bath sink has a leak all the towels were wet
We had 4 people in our group for our weekend stay. When we first arrived we were impressed with the fabulous view of river from house. This is an older house that had everything we needed to be comfortable. Great location!! We will stay again
Beautiful Location! You can walk right down to the river. Listening to the little waterfalls area is so relaxing! It was a perfect little house for our family to relax in before Thanksgiving. Close to all kinds of great hill country destinations. We had a great time!
We love this stretch of the river and this is a great rental. It was perfect for our family- we spent the afternoons sitting in the water by the waterfall- so relaxing! We will be back!
It was everything we needed for a weekend stay. Beds were comfortable. The river location was very nice. Lots of room to spread out. Quiet neighborhood. The only improvement would be regarding the extra linens for the futon. They were stale smelling. Overall we would book again.
My friend and I stayed here for a girls weekend and concert at Whitewater. It was the perfect place and the backyard was sooo beautiful and peaceful! -The trick to the “tricky” front door was to pull the handle towards you so that the door shuts more in, and then enter the code.-The master bedroom shower, we couldn’t figure out how to turn it on lol-And the dishwasher detergent compartment lid was broken.Overall, we loved it here and would definitely stay again!
The house was right on the Guadalupe river. The back was all windows so you could see it even when indoors.I wish I would've brought my paddle board. Birds everywhere & saw a river otter. It was a great mini vacay. So relaxing. Close enough to other towns where there are activities.Hiking at the at multi locations.I really lo ed Gruene. some restaurants, boutiques. Day spa for massages and a winery.
We loved the cozy yet open layout, comfy beds, and pretty riverside property. River access is a bit treacherous for the very young or older folks, but this is a beautiful part of the river. Bring kitchen towels, hot pads, and a sharp knife if you plan on using those. Queen bedroom is actually a full. Still, a great spot and a good value.
Cabin was the perfect size for our weekend stay. Very comfortable accommodations in a quiet neighborhood. Right on the river which was perfect for relaxing and to listen to while we were sitting by the fire pit. Had a couple issues (cracked/broken Adirondack chairs and a slow draining main shower) the property management said they would address. But nothing so big to ruin our stay. Would absolutely reserve this home again.
We had a great stay. The location is great. Walk out the back door and put your tubes in the River. There are 2 options to grocery shop. Brookshire Bros. To the left on 306 or HEB to the right. Great country breakfast place at Granny D’s. Just don’t order more than one pancake. They are huge! Tube rentals àt end of street.Whitewater Amphitheater is a short walk away. Canyon Lake short drive. Great location!!
When we arrived there was no toilet paper or paper towels. The lock to the front door was hard to open. The air conditioner in the master bedroom was not working well. Many of the kitchen dishes were cracked. The view of the river in the backyard was nice but overall we were very disappointed in this cabin. It needs a lot of work. The pictures online are very deceiving.
This house is located in a very beautifully part of the River. Nice size for 2 bedroom. Great location over all.
2 problems we had. I emailed about getting our unit early and was told 2 times they were still cleaning on it. Very understandable, but we got 1 hour early and the house needed so much cleaning in it. Floors were very dirty and the showers, and the freezer very nasty. So i am not sure what they were cleaning all those hours.
2nd. No TV the entire trip could not get it to work. We didnt come fir that but in down time nice to have.
Overall a great stay and trip a d would go back again. Thanks
My family opted to take a late summer vacation in the New Braunfels area in hopes of floating the river, enjoying Schlitterbahn, and taking a short drive to Fiesta Texas.
Our family LOVED the house right on the river! We were able to drop tubes into the rapids right behind the house and take a leisurely float all the way down to the 2nd crossing, hop out, and had a short 10min walk back to the house. Bring your tubes! (Or buy them at the convenience store)
We chased fireflies after dark, caught crawfish, tadpoles, and saw all kinds of wildlife including deer, fox, several types of fish and birds. My boys really enjoyed it.
The evenings were serene and quiet, with a cool breeze coming off the chilly river to keep the stifling heat bearable. S'mores on the outdoor firepit were a hit! (bring charcoal/wood).
The home itself had 2 bedrooms, and an additional 2 fold-out futons, with a 3rd fold-out couch. Plenty of room for our family of 4, with extras if you have a larger group. Washer and dryer on-site were nice to keep us from doing so much laundry when we got home
The furnishings were nothing fancy, but more than adequate. I'd actually prefer it to be basic as boys can be a bit wild, and I always worry about them breaking or damaging things.
With a 100° heat, and a stone home built in the 60's, A/C struggled a bit but it was as good as could be expected. We didn't spend much time in the home, anyway. It cooled off nicely late at night thru late morning.
We'll be back!
