About this property
Anchors Away - Lakefront Home w/Hot Tub, Amazing Views, Fire Pit & Huge Deck
Welcome to our little piece of the lake! Our three bedroom, three bathroom home is perfect for your next getaway - whether it’s a romantic weekend for two or a fun-filled week for ten.
As soon as you walk through the front door, you will immediately see the beautiful waters of Canyon Lake through the floor to ceiling windows and patio door. The sun sets directly behind the house so get ready to see some of the most beautiful sunsets in the Texas Hill Country.
Downstairs, you will find one full bathroom, a fully furnished kitchen, a sit-down nostalgic game machine, a queen Murphy bed tucked in the shiplap wall, a table that sits eight comfortably, an island that sits two, a cabinet of games, a sectional couch (favorite place to nap) and HDTV.
Upstairs, you will find three bedrooms, two full bathrooms and the laundry room. The spacious master suite has a king-size bed, nightstands, bench, dresser, private bathroom, HDTV, and French doors that lead to the upstairs balcony. The second bedroom has a king sized bed plus a twin trundle, nightstands, HDTV and also a set of French doors to the upstairs balcony. The upstairs balcony has a patio set and ceiling fans – it's perfect to take in the breathtaking view of the lake and the sunset. Bedroom three has a bunkbed – twin on top, full on bottom plus a twin trundle and HDTV. The laundry room has a washer, dryer, iron and ironing board.
The best part of the house and where you will probably be spending most of your time is the huge deck. Outside, you'll find a custom-made 16 foot table with benches, ceiling fans, beer/drink refrigerator, surround sound stereo, rocking chairs, lounge chairs, a charcoal barbecue pit, corn hole game, fire pit and of course the amazing Sundance spa.
Off the deck, you will find a beautiful set of lighted stairs that lead down to the lake. Please note, while we are a lakefront house, getting into the lake can be quite tricky. Most of the houses located on the South side of the lake have rock cliffs versus beach front entries. It is a pretty steep drop into the lake so please keep that in mind.
Don't forget to sit on the front porch in the evenings to see and feed the deer. Some of them will even eat out of your hand.
About a mile away from the house, you will find boat ramp #7. Here, you can launch your boat, jet skis, kayaks, paddle boards, etc.
Within a 20–25 minute drive, you will find multiple wineries, Gruene Hall, Schlitterbahn, Natural Bridge Caverns, Cranes Mill Marina, the Guadalupe River, Comal River tube chute and much more.
**Please note** Maximum of 10 occupants and three vehicles at all times. This is monitored via Ring doorbell located at the front door. You must be 25 years or older to rent.

Loved the location right on the lake. Very quiet neighborhood. House was very comfortable for my wife and daughter. We had lots of room and all the bedrooms are upstairs, so early risers don’t wake everyone up.
We had such an amazing stay with my family to celebrate Mother’s Day. This place is even prettier in person than the pictures. We loved the back porch with the hot tub and fire pit. It was the perfect location to hang out and watch the sunsets. The property owner was very welcoming.
We had my sister's pre-wedding girl's trip here with 7 women in total. There was enough room for everyone and each person had a great time! The weather was rainy and cloudy, but that didn't stop us from enjoying the hot tub, games inside, and the awesome view. Although it's a little pricey, the location is great and the host of the lake house is very nice and responds quickly!
This lake house had everything we needed for a nice and quiet weekend getaway! The video game console and hot tub were hits with the kids (teenagers). Wish we could’ve stayed longer.
The property was nice with a great view overlooking the lake. It was fully stocked with amenities. Bridgette was great innletting us know the property was ready. We didn't have any issues during our stay.
We had an amazing time at this property. Made and created memories to last and something our family will talk about for a long time. The location was great, we were able to get to a marina and rent a boat with ease , we went hiking, spent time in the hot tub and made smores every night around the camp fire. Travel to the Natural Bridge Caverns and surrounding attractions was easy. Rooms were comfortable and the kitchen had all the housewares we needed to cook. Recommend this house and awesome hostess who was quick to respond too all our needs and questions!
My family enjoyed our stay, especially the outdoor amenities. Fantastic hot tub, huge deck, games, drink cooler works amazingly, sweet views of the lake, and even better views from the upstairs deck. Host was really great we couldn’t ask for more. My son now wants to move in to this home!
Enjoyed Anchors Away. Host is very communicative and everything ran smoothly throughout. Vintage game console is fun. Deck is quite large. Very nice view from elevated position above the lake.
We had a great stay! The house was clean, comfortable, and just as nice as it looked in the photos. It had everything we needed, and check-in/check-out was super easy. The huge deck overlooking the lake was definitely the highlight — we spent a lot of time out there enjoying the view. We also loved relaxing in the hot tub, hanging out around the fire pit, and really appreciated the outdoor heaters for the cooler evenings. One thing to note: the photos of Canyon Lake seem a bit outdated — the water levels were extremely low during our visit. If you’re planning to come for boating like we were, it’s worth checking current lake conditions ahead of time. Overall, a great spot to unwind and enjoy the outdoors!
Family has a great time here sitting on the porch in the mornings and evenings, grilling and spending quality time together! During the day we rented jet skis and boat and ran over to Comal Park. Wonderful time had by all! My husband loved the video console and played nightly! He felt like he was 12 again!
I have been quite a number number houses and villas. This one is the best. By far. The house is just superior. It has everything you might need and more. Location is perfect, neighbors are nice and well behaving. Our favorite was hot tub/Jacuzzi. The communication with owner was swift and responsive. Highly recommending.
My family visited with 2 kids and a baby and our neighbors who have 3 young girls. We had a blast. The deck is so huge and overlooks Canyon Lake. It has a hot tub and fire pit along with corn hole for the kids. The weather was perfect so we spent most of our time outside. We were even able to see a few wild deer. We also enjoyed renting a boat at the Canyon Lake marina.
The house is fully stocked with everything you need. The owner even provided a pack and play for my baby. I would definitely recommend staying here.
We really enjoyed our time at Anchors Away. We loved the house and the view. The lake is low, so we weren’t able to access the water easily, which didn’t bother us at all. [We had plenty of water activities scheduled for each day anyway; Schlitterbahn, double decker boat rental with slide and river tubing]. I am sure someone more adventurous could climb down to the water, but we had a couple young children and didn’t want to attempt it. We did walk down the lighted staircase to the fire pit/seating area nearer to the water without difficulty. Everyone in our party thought the beds were perfectly comfortable, which was much appreciated. Our host was very friendly, helpful and communicative. Excellent stay!
My family thoroughly enjoyed our stay over Thanksgiving and it was a good time to disconnect and spend some good family time with the grandparents visiting from Ohio. There was no shortage of deer and the views were amazing! I really liked having a double tier patio where people could come and go as they please and get some alone time when needed. Bridgette was a very responsive and accommodating guest and helped me through an issue with an unexpected issue (loud party of college kids that rented the next door house). I know that’s out of her control but it was very nice to have someone to talk to about the issue. Fortunately they left the second day anyways and we had the place to ourselves! I would definitely recommend to anyone in the future and it’s the perfect place for family (grandparents and teenage kids, infant all had a great time). The arcade and hot tub were a big hit as well. 5 stars!
Spent a long weekend at the lake, place worked out great, we loved the location and ability to walk down to the lake from the back deck. Overall excellent stay
