Really enjoyed my stay.
I loved the pond with the fountain and your lunge area with the lights at night was so charming. I was in town for a funeral and having a cabin in the woods to retreat to helped me recharge. Thank you for being such great hosts.

Nice property, very clean cabin. We stayed overnight for a softball tournament. The bathroom was neat and clean but was a little inconvenient not being attached to the cabin. All the pillows were very flat, and need changed out. I would also recommend a divider curtain or something for more privacy when changing. Going to the bathroom to just change clothes was a little annoying. Overall we had a good stay and loved the animals.

Great place to unplug
We just loved our stay at Darst-Meyers Hallstead! It was the perfect spot to unplug and enjoy time as a family. There was plenty of room for our family of four. The kids enjoyed the swings, playing basketball and airhokey in the barn loft. They also enjoyed visiting the goats and chickens. As a family we loved playing boardgames, grilling out, having a campfire. It was nice a peaceful on the farm. We enjoyed a trip to Cuyahoga Valley National Park that has hiking and beautiful waterfalls. We explored around Hartville for some shoping and eating. Our hosts were very responsive when we had a question. We would love to come back for another visit some day!

Great Place to Unplug
This quaint little cabin allows you to completely unplug with some luxuries you're not completely roughing it. Highly recommend if you're trying to regroup or just relax and enjoy simple living.

Cozy Cabin
The cabin surroundings In amongst the trees and close to the wonderful sound of the water fountain in the pond. It is a perfect place to relax and unwind. Very nice property.

Fantastic Cabin and Homestead!!!!
We've spent our weekends exploring many VRBO options for fun overnights, and this is our favorite spot in northern Ohio. It's a comfortable, well maintained homestead with one of the nicest cabins around. The hosts really put in a solid effort to make it a relaxing experience instead of just being "a place to stay for the night". We highly recommend this spot.

Reconnecting with nature and eachother
We had a great staycation. We live only about 25 minutes away, but this was such a wonderful place to be able to go and disconnect from the world. We pretty much kept her phones in the cabin. We did some fishing and caught some lovely bluegill. We went on the trails. We fed the goats. My son chased the chickens and played with the cats. We played basketball in the barn and just had a great time exploring reconnecting with each other, playing games, reading books, having a fire cooking over the fire and just overall relaxing. This location is a wonderful place for just that. Don't be intimidated that the owners are on the property because they are incredibly friendly and go out of their way to make sure your stay is exactly what you wanted

Wonderful Stay
Our family of five plus pup had a lovely stay at Donna's cabin. It was just what we needed on a stop-over through Ohio and wish we could have made it a longer visit. The cabin was sparkling clean, had all the amenities and more and communicating with Donna was very easy.

Perfect Stay
This property is perfect for a family with young children. So much to explore and enjoy. Close to Cuyahoga Valley National Park and the Pro Football Hall of Fame. We had a great time!

This was the perfect stay for us! We visited for one night with our 3 kids (age 2, 4, and 6) and our dog, Pepper. There was so much to do with the kids that we didn’t have time to do it all: swing set, small pond, trampoline, basketball, air hockey and more in the barn! The cabin was small, cute and perfect for us! Hosts were so friendly and they had family children visit in the morning who were so sweet and played with our children. This is the perfect family get away spot for a night or even a week! We would go back it we are in the area again and have already recommended it to friends and family.

My husband and I were both overjoyed with the cabin. There was a sort of calm about the whole property. We will definitely be back if we are welcome to. The price was perfect and the extras were welcomed. The walk to the bathroom was actually soothing!! A nice lighted pathway past the pond.

Great Little Cabin
Owners couldn’t be more friendly and accommodating. Fit six adults and two dogs- we cooked breakfast and had campfires at night. Short drive to Cuyahoga National Park and Blossom Music Center.

Cozy cabin escape
Hartville is our hometown, however we moved to Florida just 4 months ago. Unfortunate events with the loss of a loved one brought us back sooner than expected. We had the whole family (5 month old & two 6 year old boys), and didn’t want to spend our time cooped up in a hotel room when we weren’t attending services/ funeral. I came across this little cabin and it was the perfect escape while in town for a couple of days. The kids were in heaven, and I was able to clear my mind and practice gratitude while being with my family. Everything about our stay at the cabin was perfect!

This place was absolutely perfect
Everything about this place was beautiful. They took a lot of time and attention and Care onto the property and they give you a lot of stuff to do that's involved in nature and outdoors and a beautiful seating area and a little playground and a little trampoline that's underground the big trampoline anyways and it's just beautiful just to walk around the property and they gave us our privacy and everything was really amazing it was very restful and peaceful I can't wait to go back

Stayed overnight with our Labradoodle. Very nice, clean and relaxing. A great little bathroom/shower is located about 40 yards from cabin as advertised. Not a huge issue but could be problematic in rain or snow, cold. If you are bringing a pet there are some burrs around the property. We spent some time removing them from our labradoodle’s coat. There is a nice fire pit with firewood and a charcoal grill outside. Electric skillet inside for cooking. No water inside the cabin but filtered water is provided. The bed was super comfy and the loft with two beds is cute but a little difficult to navigate. Overall we had a lovely stay. If you don’t mind a walk to the bathroom and no running water inside the cabin you will really enjoy your stay.

Delightfully beautiful spot in nature. Bit like camping...but in style! Our kids loved gping on the boats on the pond, the trampoline, playground, hammocks and goats. Donna was very prompt in response and akways gracious and helpful. I would easily recommend a stay at the cabin!

Unique & comforting stay
We had a great time here! We got in late but there were cute lights hung up & we easily found everything we needed. We loved having fresh eggs for breakfast! Loved seeing the goats in the morning, and our kids loved playing on the play set & then paddling in the paddle boat on the pond! Just what we needed for a relaxing and unique place to stay! Bedding was comfortable and everything was super clean. We really appreciate everything they are doing there & hope to stay again sometime!! Thank you for a great time, one our kids will remember!
