The Lakehouse/Cabin is a Hidden Gem

The cabin is a lake house overlooking a small private lake. It is approximately 2 mile from The Barn at Cedar Grove, a Wedding Venue. Also it is in close proximity with 4 other vacation rental properties, The Cottage, The Farmhouse, The Red House and The Garrison House.
This cabin was completely renovated in 2015. It boasts a complete surround porch with 2 porch swings. It has 1 loft bedroom, one bathroom, and a queen sleeper sofa. You’ll find all the modern conveniences we’ve come to expect along with TV and the Internet. Guests are often surprised to find it so delightfully tucked away in trees, hidden away in a private location. The lake itself is very pretty with yellow water lilies hovering all around the edges. I think it looks just like the scene in the movie “The Notebook” when Allie and Noah are in the little wooden canoe and get caught in a rainstorm and race back to his house. We even have the little canoe to complete the scene. The old rustic bridge you cross just before getting to the cabin add loads of charm to a beautiful setting….and is a very popular spot for photos.

It was very pleasant only issue we had my wife was allergic to cats so we had to run them off several times.

Brief fishing trip

We enjoyed our return stay. Everything was as it should be. There was even a washer/dryer this time. The lake is well maintained and the fishing was good. The only suggestion would be that the bathroom does need some updating. We will return in the future.

Not as advertised. Wife found dead flies in window shill and I found hair in the tub. Great location, but not worth the price and nothing worked

Awesome cozy weekend get-away

This was the perfect weekend get-away. This is a well-appointed and cozy cabin. Gayle could not have been a more accommodating or gracious hostess!

Incredibly Quaint and Charming Cabin !

Gayle is a lovely lady and will make sure you have everything you need. The lake is full of fish and the view is spectacular! Not a negative but could use a few more kitchen utensils / items in stock. We will absolutely be back !

We really enjoyed the lake house. We spent 4 days there and it was the cleanest cabin we have ever stayed in. The cabin did have a mild musty odor but it was not bad. The cabin is right on a private lake and is somewhat secluded. The fishing was great and it was very peaceful. We met Gayle the property owner who was extremely nice and wanted to make sure we had everything we needed. If you want peace and quiet with a beautiful water view then this is the cabin for you. The lake is catch and release fishing and we caught bluegill, sunfish, crappie, and largemouth bass. The one downfall is the cabin does not have a washer and dryer so pack plenty of clothes if you are staying for a while. We would definitely go back and stay again.

Peace and Serenity

I feel like Gayle is a part of my family now. She is just amazing and her cabin is as well. She left the best candy in the refrigerator that I have ever eaten. The cabin was clean and had everything that we needed for the weekend. We caught a ton of fish, watched deer across the lake early in the morning and late in the evenings, and just enjoyed the overall surroundings. I would definitely recommend this place. In fact, I already have. Several of my friends saw pictures on Facebook and have questioned this place. It was an amazing weekend and I am so grateful to have found this place and had the opportunity to meet and chat with Gayle. We will be back!!
