Excellent facilities, close to the center of Camden town. Easy walking distance to all downtown shopping and activities. Ample parking. Spacious and well equipped common rooms. Overall one of the best B&B's ever experienced, with outside add-ons planned.

The property is extremely clean and well maintained. Our room was beautifully decorated and had more amenities than we expected. The new owners went over and beyond expectations, from communicating our arrival a few days prior, accommodating our late arrival, offering advise and let me tell you, the breakfast they served, which they both have a hand in preparing, was nothing less than extraordinary. Needless to say, we were blown away and the next stop we had on our stay was well below the standard that we had here. We will definitely be staying here when we come back to Maine!! Fantastic!! We’d give TEN STARS if that was a thing!

We stayed at the inn for our honeymoon and had the very best time. Shelly and Jeff, the new owners, are the nicest people I have ever met. My husband and I loved seeing them every day, and Shelly and Jeff always made time to talk to us and make sure we had dinner reservations and tell us what was going on in town that we might like. The inn itself is so cool. It’s 210 years old (!) but so well maintained (and just recently refurbished). The three-course breakfast was OUTSTANDING, and we had the option of dining inside or out on the gorgeous patio surrounded by flowers. It’s right downtown, and the restaurants and shops are an easy walk down Elm Street. The town reminds me of the Gilmore Girls’ hometown, Stars Hollow, Connecticut. It is picture-perfect. We stayed at the inn for a week, and Shelly and Jeff feel like lifelong friends. We can’t wait to come back, and we have such special memories associated with the inn that we will treasure forever.

Best B& B in Camden Maine- A must stay!!

By far this was one of the best B&B experiences we have had and was the very best as we traveled Maine and stayed at several others. The Inn is lovely from the decor inside and outside (lovely deck, yard and fire pit area) to the location which is walking distance from the downtown shops etc… all is perfect! The attention to detail to accommodate the customers is bar none! Every little detail from ample charge cords, white noise machine, cozy fireplace, jetted shower… all the added extras that make this feel like home! The breakfast was excellent! The owners ( Shelley & Jeff) were so hospitable and took the time to visit with us and ensure all our needs were met- we felt so comfortable and very at home — I can honestly say we made new friends in Maine. I highly recommend this B&B -you will not be disappointed! We will be back the next visit to Camden! Thank you for making our Camden Maine experience the very best! Donald & Dara ( Chris) Clark

Quaint Luxury

We booked Captain Swift Inn looking for charm as part of our first trip to Maine. It delivered in droves. This is a quality property with luxurious touches only found in the finest hotels. It was quiet, wonderful, and the history gives it an extra touch. The new owners; Jeff and Shelly, were gracious and very helpful. Loved every minute.

Everything was perfect

Exceptional hospitality and exceptional breakfast. Our room exceeded expectations with comfort and amenities. Appreciated the ability to purchase a late night drink (licensed) from the innkeeper to enjoy in the lounge and play a few games. Only regret was not having a longer stay with them. Would recommend to others and book again.

Captain Swift Inn Excellence

If we could rate this higher than a 10, we would at least double it to 20. Carolyn and Rick, the owners and their wonderful staff made our first vacation in more than 3 years the best stay ever. The breakfast feasts' were fantastic with the rooms and services beyond compare. We were sorry we had to leave. Looking forward to staying again for a much longer time. Thank you.

This was such an unexpected find. Friendly from the moment we entered the door, excellent accommodations, grounds with a fire pit and ample outdoor seating. And the food was AMAZING! We ranked the Egg Frittata a highlight of the trip!

just amazing. Rick and Carolyn are true hosts. Top notch chef, clean and lovely rooms, friendly staff, short walk to downtown. And they maintain a super safe environment during COVID. We will definitely be back.

Lovely inn! It’s beautifully decorated and very comfortable. Upon arriving we enjoyed an artisanal cheese plate and the following morning our 3 course breakfast was amazing. The owners, Carolyn and Rick go out of their way to make your stay enjoyable while maintaining safe Covid measures. We’ll be back for sure!

Wonderful place to stay. The whole property was immaculate. Our room had a lovely fireplace and huge bed with the most comfortable sheets I think I’ve ever slept on. Breakfast was excellent with home made pastries and granola, local preserves and produce. It was obvious that every aspect of he inn had been carefully considered by the welcoming hosts. Most highly recommended.

From the moment we arrived it felt like home. Amazing staff treated like family. Carolyn and Rick are outstanding. They also surrounded themselves with tremendous staff. The breakfasts were works of art and even more delicious than they looked. The amenities were excellent, the attention to detail is second to none. We are already working on our next trip and stay at Captain Swift inn. We can not recommend it enough. If there is a hint of doubt, let that go. Not a thing will disappoint! Thank you

We stayed in a beautiful suite at this inn. Everything detail was perfect. Beautifully decorated, comfortable, a stocked refrigerator in our room, snacks and beverages available in the main inn, an awesome fire pit. We have been to many B & B’s in our lifetime and I believe this is the nicest one we’ve ever stayed in. We will definitely be back!
