"My family and I had the recent good fortune to stumble across Casale Galeotti in the town of Camaiore, at the foot of the Apuan Mountains. Angela and Simone were the most gracious and kind hosts one could ever find in the world of hospitality. They have created an enchanted paradise that they allow their guests access to. From the gardens to the beautiful suites, the venue is outstanding for a vacation full of rest and relaxation. Its proximity to other locations is also ideal to make this a good home base for touring Tuscany. As the owners and other renters have shared, this venue is good to access by car. That said, we did not have a car and were able to easily walk into town and use drivers to get around more broadly. The venue was so amazing we spent more time with our feet up after long hours walking in Rome so less sightseeing was perfect. Although this venue is billed more like a Bed and Breakfast, Angela and Simone were such consumate hosts that they would coordinate anything you needed. They also offer amenities for additional charge like preparing full course meals (Angela’s amazing eggplant lasagna and Simone’s Pizza Margherita with ham), having your laundry cleaned and pressed or coordinating lavish massages in the garden. This is not an ordinary VRBO experience - Angela and Simone have done something special here and we were lucky enough to not only be a part of it but we also became great friends as a result! You must go and see for yourself!"

"This space was authentically rustic and very livable. Modern kitchen conveniences, comfortable beds, plenty immediate hot water & pressure. Large outdoor space was equipped for relaxed viewing the expanse of Viareggio/Ligurian Sea in day & a plethora of twinkling nighttime lights. The host and hostess were attentive and available providing ready assistance. The yummy pound cake and fresh fruit: a special touch.. We enjoyed evenings by fireside and ample wood was supplied. For us, 3 women, more shower soap and heat on the first floor would be welcomed. However the ample supply of blankets more then adequately sufficed. I highly recommend planning your initial arrival in the day light hours to enjoy the view while ascending and to be able to see the road as there are no white lines, pedestrians and scooters use the very narrow circuitous 2-way road. Our hostess thankfully met us in her car at the most severe right turn to finish the ascent to their place. That was a big help. They also helped us carry our luggage up the slight incline from the parking space. In addition the ground floor is just that. The first floor is up steep narrow-ish steps with a sturdy railing. Good mobility is essential for this place and well worth the views and serene setting. In all it was ideal for us to have a respite from city touring in Milan, Florence, Pisa and Lucca…all essential stops. The rustic part was in the Italianate construction of exposed stone walls. It certainly was great!"

"Everything exceptional, the Villa, the hosts, the local area! The Villa was clean and comfortable, really felt like home! The outside dining area was superb and conducive to a number of great suppers and fine wine! The entire experience…relaxing! Simone and Angela were responsive and attentive, questions or concerns readily addressed. They provided recommendations and insights into the local area, things to see and places to dine! Overall, the Villa is a fantastic way to experience local culture and cuisine, to relax, and to truly experience Italy with great hosts!"

"There are so many fantastic things about this property! Francesca was so helpful and communicative. She helped us out throughout the whole process. The property is so unique and the views are nothing short of stunning! We discovered a restaurant right in the little village of Metato and enjoyed a fabulous meal there and it was just a short walk away. You can also hike up the mountain for some amazing vistas of the valley below. The property had all the comforts to make our stay something we will remember forever. Impeccably appointed and well-stocked. Our only disappointment was we did not have enough people to partake in the pizza making experience. My husband and I would not be able to eat 8 pizzas by ourselves! Other than that, we very much enjoyed our stay and hope to be able to return some day. Thank you so much!"
