Ricardo House, a Home in Madeira

Ricardo House is a restored traditional Madeiran house with a private swimming pool, jacuzzi, garden and free parking, ideal for families and groups of up to four people.

The house is located in a quiet rural area near Calheta, with sweeping views of the sea and surrounding fields.

The house has 106 m², over two floors. On the upper floor there is an open sleeping area, without a door, with a queen-size double bed (160 × 200 cm) and a desk, a bathroom and a balcony.

On the ground floor there is a bedroom with a queen-size double bed (160 × 200 cm), a bathroom, a living room with a sofa bed, a dining area and a kitchen.

Outside, the highlights are the lush garden, the barbecue, the pergola by the pool and the jacuzzi on the balcony.

It also includes a dishwasher, a washing machine, a refrigerator, a ceramic hob, a microwave and other utensils, as well as bed linen, towels, air conditioning in the bedroom and the open-plan area, a heater, Wi-Fi (200 Mbps), a TV with international channels and other amenities for a pleasant and relaxing stay.



📍 NEIGHBOURHOOD

The property is located in a rural area 2.5 km from the town of Calheta, where there is a sandy beach and several restaurants and cafés.

Calheta lies in the south-west of the island, the area of Madeira with the best weather conditions.

A few kilometres away there are stunning cliffs, mountains and Laurisilva forest for nature lovers and hikers.

Nearby you can enjoy many outdoor activities such as hiking, paragliding, mountain biking, surfing, fishing and other nautical activities.

There is a restaurant, a café and a small supermarket about 750 m away.

A car is recommended for this location. As some roads in Madeira are steep and narrow, smaller vehicles are recommended.



⚠️ PLEASE NOTE

The pool is not heated, but it is open all year round, except during maintenance.

Authorised workers access the property periodically to maintain the garden and the pool.

Rural area, with insects and lizards naturally present and possible noise from dogs and other domestic animals on neighbouring properties.

Weekly maintenance cleaning, including a change of bed linen and towels.

We strongly recommend that guests purchase travel insurance covering cancellations or other unforeseen circumstances that may prevent their stay.

Due to the island's location and climate, the presence of insects and small lizards is natural, and they may be attracted by food scraps. We kindly ask that you keep surfaces clean and food properly stored.

For those sensitive to mosquito bites, we recommend using repellent when getting around the island.

An online pre-check-in form will be sent to collect the identification details required by law.

In-person check-in is by prior appointment. We will wait up to 60 minutes after the scheduled time; beyond that, it may be necessary to arrange a new time.

So that we can resolve any issue promptly, we ask that you report any faults or cleaning shortcomings immediately. Reports made after check-out may no longer be verified or resolved.
