Oceanview Cliff Retreat

Escape to this charming villa in the serene Serra do Bouro region near Caldas da Rainha. Perched on one of the highest cliffs along the Portuguese coast, it offers breathtaking panoramic views of the Atlantic, just 200 meters away. Designed for families, friends, and nature lovers, the villa features a modern, open-plan living and dining area with a fully equipped kitchen and a cozy fireplace. There are two bright bedrooms and an ensuite bathroom. Outside, the fully enclosed garden boasts a landscaped pond, deckchairs, parasol, and barbecue, perfect for relaxing while soaking up the valley and ocean views. Beautiful beaches like Foz do Arelho, Salir do Porto, and São Martinho do Porto are only 5 km away, offering cafes and restaurants along the shore. Explore the medieval town of Óbidos, the Alcobaça Monastery, or the church in Batalha, all a short drive from the villa. Caldas da Rainha, 8 km away, features a lively market, cafes, and shops, while golf courses, cycling routes, and nature reserves provide further opportunities for outdoor adventure. Pets are not allowed, ensuring a tranquil and comfortable stay.

  • Play for me. Situated in the lovely town of Caldas da Rainha, the D. Carlos I park is a gorgeous 19th century romantic garden situated in the historic centre of the town. This refreshing green area used to work as a complement of the important Thermal Hospital that named the town of Caldas da Rainha (“Queen‘s Baths“). During the 15th century the Queen Dona Leonor, wife of king Manuel the 1st, tried the therapeutic waters of Caldas da Rainha and a long lasting wound was at last cured, after many other treatments and medicines that did not work out. As the Queen realised the excellent characteristics of the waters, she ordered the construction of a thermal Hospital in 1485. The location started developing around this central Hospital

Mosquitoes in April/May.

Lovely house and garden. Great inland view. We almost forfeited our rental after the first night, because of mosquitoes. . Don’t remember if I filter searched for a TV, but there is none.

De cabana is een mooie villa met een ongelooflijk uitzicht. Ook de beplanting en vijver ronde de villa zijn prachtig. Je kan er echt tot rust komen. Binnen is het ruim en netjes, met daar ook een mooi uitzicht van kilometers ver. Er is ook een houtBBQ en een houtkacheltje voor 's avonds. Er zijn verschillende stranden in de buurt. Een aanrader.

Las vistas desde la terraza eran absolutamente impresionantes, especialmente durante el amanecer, Nos encantó el jardín espacioso, perfecto para que nuestros hijos jugaran mientras disfrutábamos de una barbacoa, La ubicación es ideal para los amantes de la playa: Foz do Arelho está a solo un corto viaje en coche, y la playa allí es impresionante, La villa en sí es moderna y está equipada con todo lo que puedas necesitar, ¡Recomiendo encarecidamente este lugar para familias o cualquiera que busque relajarse en la naturaleza!

Wir haben 6 Tage in einem liebevoll und gemütlich eingerichteten Haus, mit einem fantastischen Ausblick, verbracht. Die Kommunikation mit dem Gastgeber war hervorragend. Sowohl vor unserer Anreise, wie auch während unseres Aufenthaltes. Haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt, auch in der beeindruckenden Natur an der Steilküste in direkter Nähe. Die Zeit war viel zu kurz um die vielfältigen Möglichkeiten in der Umgebung zu erkunden. Die Unterkunft und die Region ist unbedingt eine Reise wert.

Sejour agréable, avec beaucoup de lieux de visite à proximité dans une maison moderne et confortable. La maison étant située au sommet d une falaise, nous avons passe plusieurs jours dans la brume marine. Frigo non nettoyé et ménage mal fait.

De aankomst was vlot verlopen. We hadden duidelijke instructies gekregen van de eigenaar. Omgeving was netjes and rustig gelegen. Het was een zeer mooi huisje met werkelijk alles wat je nodig hebt qua faciliteiten, voor een leuke vakantie. Het enige minpuntje is iets waar het huisje niets aan kan doen, het weer. Begin juli hebben we een week slecht weer gehad, 18 graden, veel wind en regen. Dus goed weer is daar geen garantie daar in die streek. Dat was iets wat wij niet wisten, en hadden we ook nergens gelezen. Dus bij deze: een waarschuwing. Ter info, tweede week van juli was het daar blijkbaar 30 graden en veel zon... dus het kan blijkbaar nogal schommelen.

Mooi ingericht, ruim huis, rustig gelegen en van alle gemakken voorzien. Fijne ruime tuin, rondom het huis. Verder kan er op eigen terrein geparkeerd worden. Goede locatie om midden Portugal te verkennen. Wij (gezin, 4 personen) waren er begin mei. Mooi weer gehad en leuke uitstapjes gemaakt. Voor aankomst kregen we een mail van de huiseigenaar met informatie en een duidelijke routebeschrijving. Hierdoor konden we het huis makkelijk vinden. We hadden bovendien het geluk dat het huis een paar uur eerder beschikbaar was. Ook hierover kregen we bericht van de eigenaar. Het contact met de eigenaar via mail/app verliep prettig. Eigenaar is vriendelijk en reageert snel. In het huis ligt uitgebreide informatie over de omgeving. Het huis is een aanrader!

Villa Cabana is een prachtig huis in een mooie omgeving. We hebben vaker een Belvilla huis gehuurd maar dit huis springt er echt uit v.w.b. rust, uitzicht, privacy en gezellige artistieke inrichting zowel binnen als buitenshuis. Vanuit het huis hebben we vele mooie wandelingen gemaakt over de kliffen met uitzicht op de oceaan en bij de zeer heldere dagen konden we op ca 25km afstand zelfs de Berlengas eilanden zien. Zoals altijd in Belvilla huizen vind je ook hier veel informatie over de omgeving en zijn de essentials in keuken en badkamer ruim aanwezig. Wat ons betreft een aanrader.

Ideale locatie vlakbij 2 fantastische stranden. Enerzijds is er Soa Martinho do Porto mat een warme ingesloten baai en wat gezellige terrasjes. Anderzijds is er Foz do Arelho, waar en een schitterende laguna is en waar je aan watersport kan doen (o.a. kite surfen!). Winkels zijn op 20 tal minuutjes rijden. het huis en de tuin zelf zijn ideaal! Niets op aan te merken. Ook vlakbij een uitkijkpunt voor de zonsondergang! Wij gaan hier zeker terug komen!

Al 35 jaar zijn we bekend en vertrouwd met en in Portugal - dit huis in een prachtig gebied was een mooie ontdekking! Enorm genoten van het heerlijke huis met prachtige tuin en fantastisch, rustgevend uitzicht. Portugal is een land met een eindeloze kust ook in dit gebied valt daar volop van te genieten en dat hebben we dan ook gedaan. Portugese vrienden die ons kwamen bezoeken waren ook zeer enthousiast.

Wij hebben een heerlijke en gevarieerde vakantie gehad in dit prachtige vakantiehuis. De villa is comfortabel, modern ingericht en van alle gemakken voorzien. Fraai gelegen op een hoog gedeelte van de Atlantische kust, met uitzicht op het binnenland vanaf het terras en de woonkamer, en sfeervolle strandplaatsjes op enkele kilometers afstand. De uitgebreide informatie vooraf was nuttig en we zijn gastvrij ontvangen. Kortom een absolute aanrader voor als rustzoekers in een prachtige omgeving!
