Hotel del Vino

8/10 Good
"Hotel del Vino is a secluded property, but the entrance could be better marked. Since the hotel is located toward the back of the property, it was somewhat difficult to find. The hotel was clean, and the staff was friendly and helpful. Our room was on the first floor because the elevator was not working, which was important since my 85-year-old mother has difficulty climbing stairs. The king-size bed was comfortable, and the air conditioning worked well. However, although the room was advertised for four adults, the smaller bed was more suitable for children and was not adequate for adults. The reclining chair was also leaning to one side, making it uncomfortable to sleep in. The bathroom had several issues. There was no shower, and the bathtub was very slippery, making it difficult for my mother to use safely. The bathroom also lacked an exhaust fan, causing it to become extremely steamy, with the floors and walls becoming wet. We had dinner at the restaurant in the lobby. The food was adequate but not particularly memorable. On a positive note, the complimentary self-parking was a great amenity. Overall, the staff was welcoming and the hotel was clean, but improvements to the entrance, elevator, sleeping accommodations, and bathroom facilities would make the stay more comfortable, particularly for older guests."

"Stunning hotel with layers of history. The breakfast had an enormous selection of great food. We made reservations in advance for the dinner and were treated very well with delicious food. Don’t miss the tour of the Cistercian monastery. Give yourself at least 3 hours to walk through the natural park, with one beautiful waterfall after another. There aren’t enough superlatives to describe this place."
