An average accommodation.
The guesthouse is tucked away down a side alley, though east enough to find with the signs. It is convenient for the beach which is about 50 meters away, though it is at one end of the resort area so about 10 minute walk to the main tourist/shopping area. The accommodation was generally clean, quite spacious with a large bed, however it's one of the hardest beds I've ever slept in. Also the walls are very thin, I had a couple next door and I could hear everything they said, furthermore one of them snored all night every night and even with ear plugs I could still hear them! Shower with hot water was good. Staff were all friendly and helpful.

Dear Rajesh, Thank you for your review, is this negative review because I caught you stealing sanitizer bottle from the room and charged you double the price of sanitizer for stealing. We don't entertain guest who comes to still, maybe you are doing that in Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh not possible in my guest house. For your kind information check my past reviews and see, we do the fumigation of the rooms once the guest check out, than we do deep cleaning and sanitize the room even the linen are sanitized as we treat our guest like family, but not for some guest who wants to steal from us. in North Goa
Romaldo and his wife are lovely people and have the perfect location for their guest house. It’s a short walk to the most beautiful beach in north Goa. The room was perfect, spacious and clean with a huge bathroom. Strong WiFi as well. We ended up staying for a week because it wasn’t just so perfect here. Highly recommend staying at Romaldo Guest House.

Nice Hotel
Hotel is near to Beach. Owner is helpful and Friendly. They do have there own rental scooters. Recommend to rent from them. Rooms & Bathroom - very clean. Good for Backpackers like me. Contact the owner in first hand, if you are coming by your own car.

Worst place . want a refund. Or else I'll complain
I did believe in trivago n booked it on line. Full payment was done. On arrival the hotel was like a slum area. As told in the website..."car parking available " The hotel owner asked me to park my car on road....which made me angry in the midst of midnight at Goa. I want to suggest the trivago n Expedia travel...these hotel ruin ur n customer relations... Kindly allow the customer to pay half amount to pay for booking n half on physical verification by the customer. I would like to request you to kindly refund my amount coz I'm too much unsatisfied with the service of trivago... Expedia and that bustard hotel...

Dear Mam, Thank you for your review, And in the first place you should mind your language, you are not the first guest to book my place and you if had stayed here you would not have found a single slum, and you didn't arrive in the midnight, you arrived at 9 p.m. and you wanted room for your driver free of cost which is not possible for me, you have to pay for your driver, and I have sent my staff to show you the close by road and also parking but you guys just started your car and left didn't allow my staff to show you anything and the amount you paid is non refundable. Hotel close to the Hub.
Access needs working on, very narrow lane/footpath.Staff/owner happy to help in any way. Shower in my room requires head to be cleaned out, out of 64 holes only 24 working and 2 where up in the atmosphere somewhere. My stay was cut short but overall I would stay there again.

A good place to stay. Mr. Manual (owner) of the place was polite & good in all ways. however, his staff (Bilal) wasn't that happy with guests coming in I guess... He was doing us a favour in whatever service we asked him. After opening the room & doing his facilitation duties he said Sir keys, I told him to keep it on the table but he threw it on the table instead, den we asked him for water & paste n soap & I asked him it wud cost abt 50rs right... he gave a sarcastic reply wow Sir luks like you the price list better.... Anyways, if this review can be read by the owner I hope he changes this person or teaches him service etiquettes Good: Room & Rest room is good Owner is good Flaws: The passage to reach the room is hard The care takers as mentioned Acs are there in few rooms not all. Balcony is common balcony between all rooms. Most of the times we couln't open it. The partition shud be made

Great place and very close to beach
Just had a great stay in Romaldos. The owner Manuel met me at the taxi and showed me to the guesthouse whilst carrying my bag. The room was spotless, spacious, the air con looked brand new and the room had a fridge!!! - so handy for keeping water and snacks cool. The area is so peaceful - no noisy clubs or bars nearby. It's 139 steps from the guesthouse to the beach! - I had to count them as I couldn't believe how close it was. It takes about 30 seconds to get there. It's also about a 2 or 3 minutes walk to the nearest main road which has got the restaurants/bars/shops etc on which is ideal. The owner Manuel was really helpful. The hotel I was moving on to next in south goa had doubled booked me and subsequently cancelled my booking at the last minute. Manuel let me use his phone for about an hour whilst I contacted the agents to arrange another hotel. He also helped arrange transport to get me to south goa. Had a great stay and would not hesitate to return. Excellent place and staff, thank you very much.

Nice , Clean and pocket friendly hotel
It was grt fun. This was the first time that I had gone outside with my wife and 11 month old baby. We stayed for 4 night.we checked in at nearly 11 pm, owner of the guest personally took our bags and dropped us till the room.its really very good to have a owner like this nature.room was good , we have faced not even a single problem.i personally fill if you want to spend some good time in goa with your family than this is one of the most safest and under your budget guest house. And the best part you have market as well as beach just 5 minutes away. So u can have grt time with your family for evening walk.

Everything is good but there are some drawbacks.
We found nice stay at Romaldo guest house.But there are some drawbacks. 1. Hotel owner asked for cash payment when we checked out from hotel.We are not aware from same because when we booked the hotel one month ago,we paid online for advance booking.So guys be careful if you are planning to visit the Romaldo and want to pay using credit card. 2. Unfortunately when we went to ATMs there was no cash there and after visiting 3 or 4 ATMs ,finally we managed but during this period Guest house owner behavior was very pathetic. He was asking for payment with in 2 mins and not ready to listen cash problem. Overall experience was good except case transaction issue. Regards, Chetan Agrawal

Dear Chetan, Thank you for your review, I had requested you for money transfer if you doesn't have cash and you guys waited for the last minute even than you guys had no cash after you check out 10.00 am, which force me to ask you to keep your luggage and take after payment is done, which you did at around 5.00 pm plus you had ordered the food when the waiter came with the food you guys cancel the order. which made me react for your unwanted behavior.

I had read the review and booked the Room some might like it some may not , my criteria was a budget hotel room , so I didn't expect too much ,its a kind of Home Stay environment, so don't expect too much from owner.Restaurant and other are walking distance away on the main road. You get proper guidance from the Host. For cleaning you need to inform don't expect the room to be cleaned everyday.

Happy, clean place
I immediately liked the walls' happy colors and floor's shiny, clean tiles. The staff was very helpful and friendly, offering timely room service, assistance with cabs, and advice on bargaining prices. The hot water was dependable, and everything was within walking distance. On occasion, the toilet needed water in the tank, which was simply accomplished with a plumbing-attachment, so not a big deal. I recommend going in February, when the tourist season subsides and prices at all hotels and restaurants resume back to normal.

Horrible! Worst experience ever
The thing that caught my eyes while booking this hotel were its proximity to the sea and some previous great reviews(only 1-2 are written). However this place is nothing as described on this site. I reached Goa late evening than anticipated, to add to this I had the toughest time finding this hotel. By the time I reached this place, I found that it's been hiding behind the darkest maze of small dingy allies with full of crazy street dogs and no streetlights whatsoever. It was scary to even reach this place from main road(imagine you have gone for party or late night dinner and you want to get back to this place late night through those dark allies everyday=scariest three days). The ordeal doesn't end there.The guest house doesn't provide you any soap, towel etc or daily cleanliness. I was asked to submit the original driver's license since their scanner wasn't working (Never heard this one before). The owner was almost always unavailable. There was one nosy teenager who handled everything and persuaded me to rent a two-wheeler. I found out that it was given to me at much higher rate which created a lot of havoc later. All in all the experience was simply awful. I would never recommend this place to anyone especially if you are a solo traveler or a couple (considering the dingy location).

Excellent guesthouse yards from the beach
If you're planning on Goa, stay here. Manuel and his family are unbelievable and really do go out of their way to make sure your stay is comfortable and enjoyable and are happy to recommend things to do/see, as well as offering the cheapest rates around for scooters. A 30 second walk to Calangute beach, you couldn't be any closer unless you were actually on the beach itself. I'll won't look anywhere else when I return to Goa and look forward to seeing Manuel and his family again as they were an absolute pleasure.

A comfortable hotel near beach
I was an awesome experience to stay in Romaldo. I was so close to calangute beach. The room is big and the neatness is so good you can stay there closing your eyes guys .

Super close to the beach
Owners are very helpful and nice!! Loved the room, was massive, clean and even had a bar fridge! Literally a 1 minute walk to the beach, and couple of minutes to the main road. Easy walking distance to Baga too! Location is hard to find (look for a small sign), but other than that hassle it was great!

Hier habe ich sehr gute Erfahrungen gemacht. Die Unterkunft liegt genau zwischen Strand und Shoppingmeile. Der Hausherr ist super cool drauf und steht einem bei allem zur Seite. Positiv ist der eigene Eingang ins Zimmer. Sehr empfehlenswert.
