"We liked the location near all amenities Their was a lovely pool in the hotel with a separate area with sunbeds set in beautiful surroundings We liked our room in the main building but our friends stayed in one in the courtyard which was lovely with being able to sit outside yoyr room in the sun too ... The breakfast was lovely sadly cold egs though! But being a gluten free person i was well catered for..... Our room was very cold at night which sadly left us with not a lot of sleep combined with early waking with road works and at night as locals party they ride up and down all night with their mopeds etc and ongoing traffic noise! But ear plugs were provided!!"

"We were a group of 11 (6 adults, 5 children aged 5 to 10) any ugo’s villa was perfect! The view is even better than in the pictures and it is an easy short drive to local castellamare del golfo. Ugo was a gracious host, he helped us arrange on-site pasta making course and a boat trip down the coast. We were unfortunate that the weather the week before we arrived was unseasonably cold (7-8 degrees Celsius with hail and rain) so the pool, despite being heated, took a few days to warm up. However, being British the kids were in there anyway and it didn’t take too long for the heater to bring it up to a nice temperature. The villa was clean and well appointed.The only negative thing was that some of the mattresses were uncomfortable. Thank you Ugo for a great stay. "

"The Hotel was in an excellent location for either walking or driving to explore. Breakfast was delicious and extensive, the room was very comfortable with a sea view, and there are multiple restaurants nearby. The staff were friendly and welcoming and we were able to check in several hours early. I would highly recommend the Hotel Al Madurig to anyone wishing to stay in the charming town of Castellammare del Golfo."
