Don’t waist your time or money.
Do not waist your time with this place. We got there and there was no one at reception. We tried to call and call and waited and waited. In the end we just left Then when we tried to get a refund they denied us a refund and told us they had camera footage of staff at the reception. The lie and lie. Worst costumes service ever.

Yes the hotel has been around for a while needs a good repaint to bring it up to scratch, floor tiles need to be looked at, time has taken its toll on white tiles. it doesn't need to be done straight away you can do a room at a time.

Convenience at a reasonable price.
It was only one night, and it was perfectly adequate. Beds on Castors on a tiled floor are very dangerous. They need rubber grips underneath. Somebody could have a nasty fall, very basic, but very comfortable. They reasonably priced.

Room was neat and clean, for an aged property. Was value for money. Not a lot of food outlets available in close proximity. Beds felt clean and comfortable, which is the main reason for stay.

How wotif could allow families to rent this place is beyond the pale. This place was essentially a halfway house for meth heads. We witnesses drug dealing and usage in the car park. The place continually smelt of burning drugs. Allowing this place to be called a resort is a disgrace. The photos on the website did not represent the actual place.

Very convenient for one night before flight out of Cairns. Noisy (train at the back) and dirty (used soap and shampoo tube left in shower). The place is very dated but as I said, cheap and nasty for quick stay before a flight out.

Worst accommodation we have ever stayed in. The photos do not represent what the actual hotel is like. Very run down and dirty. I actually cleaned the floors with baby wipes on arrival as they were filthy. Squashed lollies all under one of the beds, dirty coffee cups, toliet was leaking, room smelt of cigarettes, walls dirty, double bed mattress on a queen size bed, ceiling fan covered in dust, spa didnt work, pool and garden surroundings dirty, advertised as laundry facility but no dryer and one rusted dirty washing machine sitting in the middle of the floor which was covered in water. My daughter was sick in our bed so asked for a change of bed linen but was only given 2 sheets and no mattress protector due to not having anymore available, staff didn't acknowledge us at all during our stay.....couldn't wait to get out of there, what an absolute waste of money

Crystal Garden is advertised as a resort, with a pool. gym and restaurant. Didn’t look for the gym, but there was a nice pool and a restaurant that wasn’t open and I would not classify it as a resort. No-one at reception and no-where to eat, leaving only one of the food delivery options. Our room had a double mattress on a Queen base, which was odd. Towel rail in bathroom fell off the wall when leaned on and ceiling fan was covered in grime and dust.

Didn't feel safe in the area nor the hotel property. The room was unclean & check in instructions were confusing (only one door to the room worked with the key & I wasted 10 minutes trying to open the wrong one. Would definitely not stay again

The room had terrible heavy smell of cigarettes- could not sleep at all. No windows to open and let fresh air in. Also the property says it offers free shuttle to the airport- it does NOT.

The place is dated children running rampant. Premises had a strong unpleasant odour. Outside was absolutely filthy. Staff member very pleasant and helpful. Interesting to see what a local council Health Inspection would think.

Run Down & Bad Value - has good Covid Protocols
Run down place in a low income apartment complex in a low income part of town. Things were old. But, beds were clean. If you care about Covid, it is probably a decent place for you because the staff make everything comepletly contactless and you never meet a human being. But, this does make the service a bit disappointing. Bad value for money.

Very noisy kids constantly running around the complex at all hours, restaurant is closed, no breakfast even though it was advertised, would not recommend staying if you want a peaceful stay

Definitely would not stay there again run down cold showers no hot water mouldy room. Pool and restaurant out of order couldn’t use them. Didn’t feel safe at all.

Friendly staff so helpful! Location was great to walk or public transport to all of Cairns…. Unfortunately, swimming pool was being cleaned so we couldn’t use it

We were there a week and the pool was never cleaned. There were leave at the bottom decomposing. Beds only had sheets no blankets and beds seemed to be found on hard rubbish. They offer hotel transfer but only if your lucky to have flights between 10am and 2 pm. Rooms were never made up and lucky we managed to have our towles replaced once after running into cleaner in staircase. We asked staff to check out 1 hour later but could not accommodate unless we paid. Property was cheep and with this level of customer service will only get cheeper.

Room needed a good clean every where. The photos on the Web site must have been taken when the property was new. It is now very dated and old. The restaurant is closed also and has been for some time.

Old sheets and blankets lying around on balconies. Property generally dirty. Restaurant no longer open. No spare pillows and one blanket very dirty. Air con wouldn't turn off and crack in basin. Plastic mugs with chips. Very disappointing and over priced at $270. Never again.
