Great comfy beach house
We had a great time. The house was large and roomy. Kids loved the pool. The only reason for not giving it 5 stars was the bathrooms are a little older. Would recommend - comfy, great location and so relaxing.

This is a quirky, older style house, right on the beach. It has a really lovely aspect and big back deck, opening right out on to the beach (but you can't swim because of stingers/crocs). It's a great family place. The pool is very nice. For over $1,000 a night we were surprised the owner hadn't fixed basic things like stuck windows and doors, and a broken shower hose and leaking shower head (particularly where there had been earlier complaints). Overall, you are paying for location, which is great. Note: there's quite a lot of aircraft noise from about 6am. Communication etc from the agent (Freeman's Residential) was excellent.

60 Hibiscus lane is not what you expect for your money
The Property is very dated and the bathrooms are in need of a complete renovation ,they are below simple standard. The dishwasher was broken and there was no dining table and chairs in the house. After dark it was impossible to eat outside because of the mosquitoes. The house was clean and the deck and view towards the ocean is very nice. This accommodation is not worth the money

Absolute beachfront
Our family absolutely loved staying here. Swimming in the pool looking out at the beach was fantastic. There is a fabulous cafe two doors down that serves the best breakfast. Host Ida is so nice and helpful. Highly recommend.

Great beach house
The outlook from the house is amazing, the beach is your backyard with a swimming net just to the left of the property. The house was clean and had everything we needed. Only downside was that it was quite hot inside and difficult to regulate temperature across the house but I think they have taken every possible step to mitigate this short of ducted aircon as there is aircon in every bedroom and the living area. Great prompt responses from the owner whenever I had any questions too. Thanks!

Thank you Bridgette for your 5 star review. We are definitely working on adding more/changing for more powerful AC units. We were trying to keep the AC running at all time but you are absolutely right it will need a bit more help. Hopefully next time we see you would be in cooler state:)

Excellent location.
Fantastic for our 4 kids. Amazing views and well positioned pool. Air con was not ducted but managed and the check in process was painful with poor communication and an owner that was not available.

Thank you Francis for your review. We will get the AC checked ASAP. I'm sorry you didn't feel comfortable with the check-in procedure. We advise all our guests 2 days before arrival via email that the damage deposit, which is advertised on the website and is agreed to be paid at the property on arrival with the booking, will be collected on arrival. Our hosts are instructed not to handle keys to any guests without the deposit, which your group refused to pay so it got a little bit complicated for everyone but I believe it was sorted in a timely manner and hope you had a nice time in Holloways Beach after all. Hope you'll have a better experience with us next time.

Pro's and Con's
In terms of location, it is brilliant. Right on the door step of the beach and only metres from the swimming section during stinger season. Decent pool too. However, there is NOTHING in Holloways Beach. Just for basic shopping there is nothing. A car or uber defiantly required. With the house, not sure why the best air-conditioning system was in the laundry and not in the living area or bedroom where really needed??. All curtains are sheer. Sun's up and so are you!! Dissapointed. On vacation to enjoy some sleeping in which was virtually impossible. Kitchen well equipped, decent size and clean. Bed sheets clean. Main Bathroom very hot and very dark. Another TV would be ideal.
