Our family adored our stay at the Fuschia Lodge in County Kerry. Gorgeous property with every available amenity, especially if you're a person who likes to cook and bake during a holiday. The stormy weather with gale force winds didn't bother us as we were snug in our comfy home with views that go on forever across the white capped sea.
The house was very good. The view was astoundingly beautiful.
The house is off but also on foot is Waterville easy to reach
The environment is also fantastic.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Fuchsia Lodge. The house is beautiful, clean and well stocked with everything we needed and we couldn't get enough of the spectacular views from all sides of the house! Caragh was an excellent communicator for our sightseeing questions and the welcome basket was lovely to arrive to after our long travel from the US. The location was perfect, right along the Ring of Kerry and we took full advance of driving each day to explore all the wonderful sights and towns along the The Kerry Way! Highly recommend this 5 star!
The property is outstanding and we could have sat on the couches and stared out the window, all week. You can see cliffs, a beach and a beautiful view to hills on the other side of the bay. We had a couple of days of poor weather and simply stayed in and enjoyed the property. We had a few mechanical issues but most of them were our own ignorance of how the appliances worked. Caragh helped through any issues and we had a terrific stay. We would of course reccomend this property to all lovers of this beautiful area of Ireland.
This house is very nice, but better suited for those requiring three ensuite baths. No place for six adults to gather for tv. Well eqipped with operating manuals for appliances. Beautiful view. Neighbor showed us how to access the beach, lovely .management responded to some minor maintenance issues in reasonable time
We stayed at Fuschia Lodge for a mont. it was truly a fantastic property. You have views from all four bedrooms across the Ballinskelligs Bay. Quarter mile .5 km walk to the beach access. Lovely walk about 4 mi, 6.5 km on the lanes around the lodge. All appliances worked well once we figured out where the electric on switch was!
About 3 km to Waterville. There are 2 nice pubs there, the Lobster and the Villa. At the Villa every Tuesday is open mic and locals come to play and sing. There is a Centra grocery store there and two other restaurants. We were there in mid April-mid May so missed the summer crowds.
I really can’t recommend this place highly enough. It is stunning and has thoughtful details like a full sauna, lots of parking, and a clothesline.
Thank you Caragh! We loved our stay!
The house/property/location is beautiful. The western side of Ireland is so beautiful. One gorgeous view after another. My wife and I, along with two other couples stayed at the house for the week. We enjoyed it so much. We flew in/ and started our trip in Dublin. Then drove out to house (should have given ourselves more time to get out to the house. Didn't expect for the roads to be quite so small and the GPS will not necessarily send you the right direction). The days after, we went to Waterville, Cahersiveen, Doolin, Galway, Killarney, Dingle, Kenmare and Cork. Everyone of them beautiful. We would have like to seen more, but ran out of time (you can't get anywhere fast)(and be prepared for it to rain every day). But that is part of the beauty of Western Ireland. Getting rid of trash/rubbish is bit of an issue also. Despite the roads, we had a great time.
Kerry is the closest you will come to heaven, and this absolutely beautiful home is a perfect example of a little slice of heaven. My family which included my Dad, my two sisters with their partners and my girlfriend and I and her 8 year old daughter just spent a week here. We chose this location as my Mam’s ashes are scattered just up the road in Derrynane and it was conveniently located to visit the towns that my Mam and Dad frequented when visiting their favourite place in Ireland. The house has everything you could possibly want. Proximity to the town is brilliant just a nice walk, the beach a short stroll and the views oh my God, I can never get sick of them no matter what the weather is. Caragh the owner was extremely pleasant and helpful and the house is kitted out with everything you could possibly need. I will return to this house again as it exceeded our dreams of what we might even be walking into. I cannot praise this house and location enough and words don’t justify how beautiful it truly is. I would strongly recommend anyone looking to travel to Kerry to stay here “Just not when I want to please!”
Beautiful house with amazing views and all the comforts of home. Conveniently located to several day trip destinations such as Kilarney National Park and Portmagee. Excellent communication with the hosts. Would love to stay there again.
Location location. 3 minutes from Waterville with spellbinding views. Beautiful well equipped house, sheep on the lawn which was lovely. Would stay again in a heartbeat .
We enjoyed our stay at the Fuschia Lodge. Although our weather was not great, we appreciated the space and views from the house. It was well stocked with everything we could need. The hot showers were a welcome reprieve after being out in the rain. The house was conveniently located to Waterville. My girls and I enjoyed a lovely hike along the Kerry Way steps from the house.

Beautiful and amazing house in a perfect location
It was our second holiday in Fuchsia Lodge and won't the last. The house and the landscape are amazing. This time we spent 2 weeks in the end of winter and it was very stormy and rainy. But the house was pretty warm and you can end up the day in the sauna after some long walks. Everything in the house is well maintained and clean. If you need help or any information you can always ask Mary or Caragh. We will come back.

Lovely holiday home
This is a large, clean, spacious home with lots of windows and beautiful vistas. We were pleasantly surprised to find that there was milk and butter in the fridge and wine, jams and soda bread on the counter when we arrived. The kitchen is well equipped. Waterville is an easy walk from the house where we enjoyed the seascape and pastoral surroundings. Being on the Ring of Kerry allows access to diverse vegetation and views. Day trips to Valentia Island and Killarney National Park were well worth the drive. When we travel, we prefer quiet, scenic places and this location met all our needs. We would highly recommend Fuschia Lodge and the Waterville area. John & Lesley from Ontario, Canada
We had a really great time in this beautiful house in this beautiful location. There were hares and stonechats and field pipits in the garden, coastal walks, and we made the trek to Dingle for a rib ride to see dolphins, puffins, and minke whale. The house is perfect (and the internet works!), and Kerry is gorgeous.
The views were stunning & facilities in the house were excellent. Great location 10 mins drive to Waterville with plenty of good restaurants. The housekeeper Fiona was really helpful. Faultless
Lovely situation, nicely designed spacious house had a super sauna!
We had a wonderful week in Fuschia Lodge. Communication with the owner, before and during our stay, was excellent. The house is beautifully appointed and we watched stunning sunsets. We swam everyday in the nearby beach which we had to ourselves even though the weather was fantastic ! The sauna was an added bonus and we hope to return someday.
