Aquarius Vacation Club at Boqueron Beach Resort

"The property was nice. The room was clean and spacy, bed was comfortable. The lobby staff was nice and friendly, they even gave us extra coffee and laundry detergent. The condo would it be more comfortable if the kitchen would have a dishwasher machine. The bathrooms were clean, but there was an issue with the hot waster in the shower. It was too hot and difficult to graduate the temperature. We had to let it run for more than 5 minutes to get to a manageable temperature or take a cold shower. We informed the staff in the lobby but in our short stay no one came to fix it. We don't know how this happened, but we requested a one bedroom condo and got two bedrooms which was more expensive. We asked to be downgraded to one room, but it was denied even though they had a one bedroom condo available. The pool area was nice but because there was vegetation around it which caused to have too much leaves in the pool. I would suggest that they should have an employee taking care of this issue throughout the day. This would make the pool nicer and more pleasant to swim in it."

"The hotel staff were very friendly. The receptionist was helpful and recommended a few places to eat, what beaches to go to. She was great! The ladies that cleaned the room were friendly, it seemed they only made the beds and changed the towels for the bathroom and pool and did the trash. Not sure of their policy on cleaning the rooms occupied. The room was a nice size for a family of four. It was a bit outdated, the beds were terrible. Really uncomfortable, and bed frames broken on both beds. We had to stick pillows behind the bed to stop it from making noise. The tv was really really slow and sometimes we couldn’t get it to work. No blow dryer in the room, but had a drying rack outside on the balcony. It did not have a real bathroom door. You can hear everything!! The staff only work from 10-5 and no one is in property after that. The guys are there bright and early cleaning the pool and hot tub. LOT OF BUGS, when it rains they were everywhere!! The pool bar was closed as they were looking for a new owner. You can buy beer from the receptionist. The projector was never on so not sure if it worked or not. The parking was a bit difficult. Both spots were on a hill and it was a bit annoying. They did have a smoking area for those who smoke. Overall we had a good time staying at the property and would recommend it. Just don’t expect all the high end stuff. It feels more like a family run hotel with charm."

"While the grounds are beautiful and well-maintained, our stay was not good. First off, it was raining when we arrived and a staff person pointed us to the wrong cabin (the cabins are a good schlep from the carpark), so we had a hard time, to say the least, getting in. The cabins have a weird #ing system and the numbers aren't visible from any distance, hidden behind (lovely) shrubbery. Then, when we finally found the cabin (she had said go left when it was go right), there was no overhang to protect one from rain and there was a gap in the rain gutter so a deluge was coming off the roof and the porch was not tilted away from the cabin, so there was a lake at the entrance. (Fortunately, we had umbrellas.) Next morning, when we tried to shower, no hot water. We were meeting friends, so had to leave, but reported the issue to mgmt. Back that nite, tried to shower, no hot water. Called frnt desk, person said there was a "special way" to turn on the hot water. Maint. guy came over and said "Let it run." We let it run; hot water in the bthrm sink and HE SAID in the shower. But when I finally got in, tepid, not even warm.(I'm stupid for not checking for myself, I guess.) By this time, I HAD to shower, so I gritted my teeth and had a cold-water shower. Will never return, and cannot recommend this property to ANYONE."

"Our overall stay was just fabulous. We had a beach view room which was amazing. The room was very clean and the staff were all very friendly and accommodating. We ate at the onsite restaurant our entire stay and the food was delicious. The waitstaff were all very friendly, especially Layra who went above and beyond for me as I have food sensitivities. Highly recommend Villa Cofresi if you’re looking for an overall wonderful experience in Rincon! 😊"
