Excellent place to relax and enjoy nature. Just 100 feet from the property is an open field. This allowed me to setup my telescope and enjoy the night sky.
What a wonderful cabin and scenery! It is fully stocked with everything you need! The owners were awesome to work with. I highly recommend!!

Second stay! It is peaceful and secluded, yet only a few minutes from town! Love the cabin nestled in the woods! The owners are great to work with! We will be back!
We truly enjoyed our stay, worth the expense. The cabin was perfectly decorated and very clean. It had everything you need during a stay, and then some. With WiFi and cable TV in 2 rooms, it is the best. No complaints with this place. Beats an hotel for sure. Wildlife in the area too.
Great value.
Our 6hrs drive from Chicago was totally rewarded. The Cabin was very clean and spacious.
Antique stores, farmers markets, cozy restaurants, and most of all friendly peoples.
I definitely recommend this place.

My husband and I needed a getaway and the cabin we rent was exactly what we needed. It just the right size and cozy. It was clean and the kitchen had all modern appliances. The area was quiet and peaceful
Thank you Wilderness Retreat, you gave us a wonderful weekend ❤️
I booked this cabin to take my sister away for her birthday. It was exactly what we wanted and needed. The beds were comfortable, I have nothing to complain about. This cabin was perfect. I even looked into the returning and renting the larger one for more family to come!
We loved this place. All the little amenities. We had a fire in the pit. Coffee on the porch. The quality of the pans was excellent. Sometimes you have to scrape together dishes. Used the air fryer one night. Everything you would need.
Cabin was very clean and nicely decorated. Loved all the small things in the cabin: qtips, nice plates and cups, and towels. Only complaint was the bed was super firm for our liking. I ended up sleeping on the couch. Otherwise we enioyed our stay.
Very clean and well-stocked with thoughtful necessities
We appreciated the cleanliness for a pet-friendly cabin. There were no odors or any evidence of pets.
We appreciated the thoughtful ammenities (coffee, water in fridge, etc) and the well-cared for kitchenware. Our trip was cut short by storms and power was out, but with windows open, it was cool and comfy inside. Would stay again!
The cabin was beautiful and clean and everything was 5 stars. Everything was very clean and it all looked fairly new. No shortcuts in the construction of the cabin. It was small but everything that you could want in a cabin was available. Note: the mirror in the main bedroom is a bit high. My wife is 5' 2" and could not see herself in it. :)
The ad on line was bit misleading. It mentioned 5 acres of woods, but didn't mention there was a cabin next door, nor that there was some kind of small business down the hill in plain view of the cabin, nor that it was close to the road. So, not as secluded as we expected. There were no benches or chairs available around the fire pit, so we did not have a fire and we brought our firewood back home.
There were no other guests in the cabin next door until the morning we departed. So, it was a nice peaceful, quiet time. The beds were very comfortable. The cabin is not far from Cadiz, so we spent one day there. Also, the Land Between the Lakes Rec Area is not far either, we enjoyed a day there too.
Overall, it was a great visit. We give this cabin our highest recommendation. We would stay there again.
This place was perfect for our stay!! It was adorable, clean, and had everything we needed!! Will be staying again next time we visit family in Cadiz!!
This is beautiful and well keep property, a real paradise setting. The cabin is very cute and clean, beds are quite comfy. We only stayed a couple of days but will definitely try to stop here again!
The cabin was a great place to get away. We wanted to be able to relax and that is just what we did! We enjoyed visiting The Land Between the Lakes and many of the local restaurants. The host were great to deal with.
Looking for a country cabin getaway, we found this adorable cabin nestled on a gentle hillside amongst some nice trees. We found the inside to be as charming as the outside and we'll supplied with everything we needed and more! It was a relatively short way from the things we wanted to do. We loved the rain on the metal roof, coffee on the back porch,Also notable.. a fire pit and a grill out back. The owner was sweet. We look forward to returning!!
The property was excellent. The only reason I rated a three overall was that having Internet service was critical to my stay – I’m a writer and was planning a four day weekend to get some work done. I needed online resources and weren’t able to get them on my laptop on Saturday and Sunday. I was able to get around that with my phone, but then Sunday night Internet went completely out negating the money I had spent to be able to stream Sunday night football. If I weren’t going there to get work done, it wouldn’t have been an issue, but that was central and critical to my whole weekend. Otherwise, the property was great.
Angie is a wonderful host and the cabin in like new, has all the kitchen, cooking, and other amenities needed. The area is quiet, the campfire and grill are convenient, and the whole experience is restful and peaceful. Angie responded to all of our questions and needs. The cabin is very close to the water, there is a fishing dock and boat ramp 5 min away, and Prizer point is only takes 10 min get there. If you are looking for a lakeside, noisy family campground, this place is not it. We went out every day and appreciated coming back to peace and quiet. The beds are comfortable and the pillows are wonderful. We had two small dogs and one of the best things is this cabin is pet friendly! We definitely will stay here again. The only problem with this great review is that we hope White Oak Ridge Cabins don't get so popular we can't get in!!!!!
