Wonderful

The property was wonderfully located, both in relation to highways to activities and to kayaks out into the Lake. Beds and rooms were well furnished, clean, and comfortable. Plenty of entertainment options for the whole family on-site. Kitchen well equipped. We loved our stay! Would definitely book again if we’re looking in the area.

Weekend retreat
Nice property liked kayaks, liked the grill and fire pit . Had a nice visit with daughter ,granddaughter and son in law did some fishing . Wished I'd booked another day.
House was great and fit our needs. We were able to bring our dogs and get some family time. Too cool and windy to enjoy the kayaks or fishing. We were able to hike and horseback ride and visit the Elk and Bison Preserve and Planetarium. Also enjoyed the fire pit.
The reason we booked this property was because it included free kayak usage. We thoroughly enjoyed them. Also, we had some good family time around the fire pit. One issue we had was with the driveway - it is steep, but it was much better than parking on the road; we didn't have any trouble
with it, but the first time going in was unnerving. someway

Beautiful Home. But....
The house was beautiful, but not recommended for anyone with mobility issues. The only ways into the house are by a steep downward slope to the front door, or about 10 steps to the backdoor. My mother in law who has had a stroke could not come and go for trips on the lake or outside the house because it was too strenuous for her to climb. Other than that, the house was clean, cozy and had great lake/river access.
Great Stay but Watch Out for Evolve Property Management Company
Overall great visit and I would stay again. All communication was great and check in very easy. Inside was clean, well appointed, and in great shape. King bed we used was nice and comfortable. Although inside was great, outside was in need of a major cleaning. Lots of dirt, dead bugs, old spider webs and mud dauber nests everywhere on walls, windows and doors. Even with outside cleaning needed still nice property with great outdoor amenities available. The driveway is very steep and could be iffy for any car without decent bottom clearance. This property is managed by a commercial company, Evolve, that I was not happy with. Reason is that I initially made a 6 day reservation 10 months in advance and needed to add a 7th day (a Monday) about 2 months out. Because Evolve detected an event being held in the area (per their rep I was communicating with) they raised the price of adding the one additional Monday night 64%, yes 64%, from the initial rate. That is ridiculous price gouging. Even though we enjoyed this property and would recommend it, I will look to avoid Evolve managed properties in the future if this how they treat customers.
We liked the kayaks . Decent trails close by. Planetarium close by . Good fishing nearby. They allow pets. Charcoal grill. This was our second stay at this property. We like to visit with our Daughter and granddaughter here.
Great location, close to everything LBL has to offer for a getaway or stay at the house and enjoy the house and lake.

Great place to stay
We loved our stay here. Cute place, clean and comfortable. The kayaks and the outside seating were the highlight. Would recommend for a quaint getaway. The host was great and so helpful!
Setting is good and a nice dock for my boat. The house is a bit run down, pictures on the site have to be many years old. This place is functional but rough around the edges.
This is a wonderful place to stay! The house is very clean, pet friendly, great lake location and has nice neighbors. This home has the best stocked kitchen we have ever stayed at! I would highly recommend this home and hope to stay here again!

So close to the lake! We had a great time. The house, location, rooms, etc. were exactly how they were described and in the pictures. The driveway was steep, like they said, but we had no problems getting up or down it. The dock is very nice and we met the people that they share it with and they were very friendly. We had a great time and are already looking at booking it again for next year.

Liked: Check-in, communication, location
Disliked: Cleanliness, listing accuracy
The house and grounds are in bad shape. The house was full of dog hair. The host had to call plumber because bathtub faucet was turned off because of continuous leak.Pictures are deceiving. With some tender loving care house would be worth the amount of rental cost.

Nice that home is by water , but not for anyone with a disability
The home is very nice. Everything was just as stated and pictured. The only recommendation I would make is to let people know that the house is not accessible without steps (lakeside) or traversing a steep driveways (front door). Our family enjoyed our time and hope to visit again soon.

Pelican Bay Retreat
It was nice to be on the lake and we made the most of it. But the driveway is extremely difficult to navigate, the pictures made the home look open and airy and it wasn't, the outdoor sitting areas had to be cleaned before using them and the house has many small transitional levels making it difficult for older folks. The listing needs to more accurately reflect the reality.
We met another family for a couple night stay in June at this property. Overall, it was extremely clean and had a great experience.
My husband had trouble finding the location as it’s in a tighter, windy street and is perched on the side of a hill. The driveway was quite steep and decided to back in. The bonfire area was very convenient and close to the house. The dock was well maintained. There were more neighbors out and about so keep in mind if you’re looking for a more secluded place.
I met 3 of my brothers here for a golf weekend. There are 3 bedrooms, 1 with bunk beds, and that was good with us, 4 adults. The house is older but was clean and in order. Plenty of towels, washcloths, etc. No hairdryer or shampoo but we brought our own. The dock is new but we didn't have a boat so didn't use that. Firepit was nice in the back yard. Plenty of wood to burn. Everything worked! TV, dishwasher, hot water, etc. We really enjoyed our stay, you will too.
